@shylockh We now live in a society where everything is a diagnosis, and where acting the victim is the default setting. If we ever went back to the good old days of calling this stuff out, half the country would have a meltdown.
@AllisonPearson Never mind, once they have managed to tokenize every single blade of grass, every person and every asset onto the Blockchain, a few trillions of debt will become meaningless...
Dear @Keir_Starmer,
Trust in government has collapsed because the state no longer works. To be honest, nothing appears to be working in our country.
Taxes keep going up (despite your promises), services are not getting better and there is no accountability.
This isn’t personal, it’s structural. The Conservatives before you are equally responsible. Voters are fleeing to Reform and Greens in desperation, not knowing that they too cannot fix these issues either.
Every party is failing for the same reason - a failure to recognise the limitations issue, in that power has no limits in our country, no ownership and no expiry.
Failure is inevitable while authority remains unaccountable because everything is downstream from this.
I withdraw my consent and I hope across the left and the right more do. To be honest, I am dedicating myself to this now. You see this is not a left or right issue, this is an electorate vs the government issue.
Government requires hard limits and a British Bill of Rights. Chat soon.
Peter
@AllisonPearson Twelve residents of my mum's care home died within 3 weeks of being jabbed with the so-called "vaccine" in January 2021 and nobody cared a damn. Asking questions was not allowed and the deaths were brushed under the carpet and called "COVID". None of them had bloody COVID.
I never knew until today what David meant in Psalm 23 when he said, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.” Nowhere does it say he stopped to wonder why he was in the valley. It simply says he walked through. Let me tell you this: now is not the time to figure out why you’re going through the valley. Just trust God and keep walking. No matter what circumstances you face, keep believing God is working on your behalf. There’s something waiting at the end of the valley.
@RupertLowe10 And the nail shops. Always cash only and always run by Vietnamese people. I have nothing against Vietnamese people at all but I do wonder how so many of them are able to come here and kit out a shop?
Here’s a post that many of you will relate to right now. For many years I’ve managed to have a pretty good standard of living through career progression and then being self employed. I’ve always worked hard and have enjoyed a few decent holidays, nights out, got on the property ladder in my twenties and largely always found a way to be reasonably comfortable financially.
But recently, things have changed.
Despite the fact that my annual income is significantly higher than it was in my twenties, I feel significantly poorer than in my twenties. And that’s because the cost of living is completely out of control. And the cost of living is out of control on the basic essentials of energy and food prices. This is combined with a horrendous tax burden - now at record levels.
If we were paying all of this tax and getting a return on investment then at least there’s a social contract of trust between the taxpayer and government. But there’s not. Instead we are paying record amounts of overall taxation and the country is rotting. Nothing works. Public services have diminished and infrastructures are rotting. The decay is everywhere.
I am not alone in saying this. Everyone I speak to is saying the same thing. We are all working our arses off just to keep our heads above water while paying governments extortionate amounts of money for them to make our lives worse.
And for all of this, I blame successive Tory and Labour governments. They have let the country rot. And they’ve sold our assets to multinational corporations. And they’ve made some terrible policy decisions that have cost the taxpayer a fortune. They’ve spaffed away our hard earned tax money on wars, corporate contracts, numerous crisis situations that they created and have feathered their own nests with power and money in the process. They’ve brought Britain to its knees by wilful incompetence and managed decline for corporate greed and we are all paying the price.
At some point we must stop focusing on who needs to pay more tax and instead focus on where all of our tax money is going.
The mood across Britain is unlike anything I’ve ever witnessed before. But it’s not the fault of the people. It’s the fault of government. And don’t ever let these bastards tell you otherwise.
Tony Benn’s 5 key questions:
“What power have you got?
Where did you get it from?
In whose interests do you exercise it?
To whom are you accountable?
How do we get rid of you?
And if you can’t get rid of the people who govern you, you don’t live in a democratic system.”
@RupertLowe10 Absolutely spot on. We also need to stop brainwashing young people that they are all going to die of "climate change", and that there are "too many people in the world".
@JacquiDeevoy1 Bless you, I feel your pain. My mum died 3 weeks after the vax and they put covid on the cert, she didn't have covid. I tried to push back and was met with extreme hostility and told "it will take months and cost you thousands" to get it altered. I knew then we were f*cked.
@DrAseemMalhotra I've known 4 deaths from turbo cancer since the poison was rolled out, 2 "died in their sleep", and 12 residents of my mum's care home died within 3 weeks of being injected in Jan 2021. However, I am sure it's all a coincidence..
@GoodwinMJ Because Truss was not the establishment's choice of PM so she had to be got rid of by whatever means necessary. Starmer/Reeves ARE the establishment's choice so they are protected by the media
