.@easywdw was one of my best & closest friends. His loss is heartbreaking for so many. Those who knew him best will never be able to replace the humor, kindness and lovable wit he brought in to our lives. He was the best.
@TheLeisureProf What makes this even more tragic is how often I see people say “nobody ever goes over there or rides the boat.”
ROA creates a place in the park that contrasts with others. It creates a certain atmosphere that allows itself to shine and in contrast other rides/places to shine too
We had IllumiNations
We had 3am Extra Magic Hours
We had the Great Movie Ride
We had the Osborne Christmas Lights
We had Rivers of Light

We had free fast pass
We had it all
Imagine that it’s 2015. You’re at Epcot just after sunset.
You’ve got a drink in hand. The Innoventions loop plays just over the steady noise of the Fountain of Nations.
You decide to make your way to World Showcase for a stroll around the lagoon before Illuminations starts.
In the year 2000 a 1 Day Ticket was $46
Keeping up with inflation, a 1 Day Ticket in 2025 should be $97
Instead it’s $184. That’s a 47% increase -over- the inflation rate
From 1990-2000 the one day ticket price went up just 10% over the inflation rate from $31 (90) to $46 (00)
Grand Floridian 2-night stay.
Check-in 12/24. Check-out 12-26.
Two, three-day park tickets with Park Hopper.
Plus the new Premier Pass (at $449) for two people for 3 days:
$6,007
So it’s essentially $2K per person per day to stay at GF with a park ticket and premier pass.
Without sarcasm - I envy people that became fans of Disney Parks after the downturn in quality began, that simply don’t know what they’re missing.
WDW used to be *so* special, cool and financially accessible. WDW strays from those qualities with each new announcement.
