@FrameworkPuter @Google Actually, reading the faq more carefully, it says "more power optimized battery", is it a different battery physically?

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@FrameworkPuter @Google Exciting news, surprised/pleased to see it has different hardware (louder speakers, bigger battery). Can I get a DIY version with those upgrades? Or is the chromebook less DIY-able in any way?

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@FrameworkPuter @Google On your FAQ "Can I install Linux" it doesn't say that I can, just that I can run linux apps with crostini. So, can I install any other Linux distro besides chrome on the Chromebook Edition?

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@FrameworkPuter On the order page, this still shows as "pre-order", any idea when it will come?

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@system76 Looks beautiful. Are y'all still working on a similarly custom laptop?

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@Eric_Rylet @bonnienorman @KamalaHarris It's a little more complicated than that, it also involved decisions by GM management to pursue an anti-ev legal strategy rather than take advantage of the huge lead they had over every other manufacturer, and their spiteful decision to literally crush the ev1. #nosympathy

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@raymondh That's because they pick up everything by browsing twitter :-)

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@raymondh @rgrig @thomasahle How different is set from dict keys? It seems like they can contain the same sorts of things. Given the predictable ordering of dict keys, would we expect something like that in sets someday? Just curious.

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

In other news, google's translation capability is sufficiently advanced that it believes we can get back to that tower we were working on . . .

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@ErrolWebber @POTUS First step to unifying is to undo some of the divisive damage done over the last four years.

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@Joe48185820 @HawleyMO Gee, I dunno. You think maybe there's a difference between tearing down bad statues vs invading the capitol building, beating and killing police, looting classified documents, and looking to lynch the vice president and decapitate the speaker for the house? #RepublicanHypocrisy

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@HawleyMO Why don't you tell that to your supporters that stormed the capitol looking to hang Pence and decapitate Pelosi? Most of the violence is from scumbag terrorists who are republican trump supporters. How do you spell Hypocrisy? R-E-P-U-B-L-I-C-A-N #HawleyIsATraitor

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@HawleyMO @simonschuster No, they're canceling your contract because you're a lying trump sycophant with nothing to say. No one is stopping you from speaking, they just don't want to be associated with your lies. #JoshHawleyIsATraitor

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@HawleyMO @simonschuster Orwellian is what you are doing, claiming that Truth is a lie and that lies are the truth. Definitively BigBrother and anti-American values#JoshHawleyIsATraitor

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@raymondh I've been using 'me' for some time now, but I'll have to try out 'my'. It's good to remind ourselves that "self" is a convention, not a keyword.

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@Dariathatsall @Dina921 @Venew_Live The instructions said to do that to watch the concert. If they needed to do this stuff ahead of time they should have made that clear and required an account to get the ticket. Don't blame the victims. Everyone having this issue deserves a full refund.

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@Venew_Live You're the ones who are requiring an account. How does someone without an account watch it if you won't let them create an account. Maybe you should have required account creation when they bought tickets. 👎

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@raymondh @eichin "file" isn't a builtin anymore. Python 2 is dead to me.

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@raymondh @kcemenike Perhaps the best practice is to helpfully point the asker to what one believes to be a dupe, but let the OP decide if it really sufficiently answers the question.

[Dale Schouten @OldGeeksGuide]

@jeremy_soller @JonathanThrone @system76 Ah, that's very helpful information; I couldn't tell for sure if the battery increased since the reviews I've read. Thanks!
