A note to British and English Patriots..
It became apparent to me some years ago that..
"They get free homes"
and
"Send them back" wasn't really working.
It seemed a very tired old opinion and completely uninformed..lazy..
You can imagine how much this annoys me in the present.
I remember thinking..my god is this the best that people can come up with..
Anyhow..thanks to my Genealogical and Family history pursuits..coupled with a love of early British history..
I actually began to see and form very valid reasons for my patriotism...that didn't involve "housing" or "boats" as a main context.
1. My family and ancestors have lived here for many many generations. For hundreds and probably into the "thousands" of years.
2. Those that went before, payed their taxes, fought their battles, and went through severe hardship in these islands to earn the rights and privileges we have in Britain today.
3. Those same Family and Ancestors above also earned our place in these islands over tens or possibly hundreds of generations. Not Two, Three or Four generations.
Now..I'd suggest all true British Patriots go and check out a bit of your family history going on into the new year.
I'm also very excited about my upcoming DNA test.
I'd also suggest moving away from "houses" and "boats" altogether.
The 3 points above are reason enough..to start with..
We all need to start reading from the same page here or all is lost I'm afraid..
๐จ Ant Middleton with a clear message:
โIf you try to overthrow our Christian nation, we will show you the combative side of British culture. We will not change, we will not go backwards, and we will not be intimidated in our own country!โ
Do you stand with Ant?
For those that do smoke in the UK...
It is perfectly legal to grow your own tobacco for your OWN consumption.
You're just not allowed to sell it.
You also know it won't have any shitty chemicals in it added by big tobacco corporations.
So smokers..this year lets give tobacco corps a run for their money..
Grow your own tobacco..
@benonwine It was that film..Ferris Bueller's Day Off..that's what started it all...
The film started and I immediately caught my hair alight from the bong I was toking..
Here are the key points regarding the Claudian invasion of Britain.
Roman cultural influence was not as extensive as we have been led to believe..
Invasion led by Aulus Plautius under Emperor Claudiusโs orders in 43 AD, potentially more for political gain than comprehensive conquest.
Initial landing in Southeast Britain, but resistance from local tribes like those led by Caratacus was significant.
Key battles at the River Medway and Thames were more about securing a foothold than establishing dominance.
Claudius's brief visit might have been symbolic, with his quick return to Rome suggesting the campaign was more about personal triumph than long-term control.
Roman presence was patchy; the south was influenced but not entirely Romanized, with much of Britain remaining semi-autonomous or outside direct Roman control.
Cultural integration was uneven; Roman elements like roads and cities appeared, but British customs and local governance persisted alongside Roman practices.
This view challenges the narrative of a deeply Romanized Britain, suggesting a more complex and less uniform influence by the Romans.
Some more interesting history for Brits to digest today as we move into the Romano British era...
The Claudian Invasion, or the Roman conquest of Britain, began in 43 AD under Emperor Claudius. The campaign aimed to expand Rome's influence and secure its northwestern frontier. Four legions and auxiliaries landed near modern-day Richborough, with Claudius briefly leading the final assault on Camulodunum, establishing it as the first provincial capital. This invasion marked the start of nearly four centuries of Roman rule, influencing Britain's culture and infrastructure.
Despite 400 years of Roman occupation, the British maintained their identity and language. The Romans focused on tax, trade, and order, allowing relative autonomy as long as these were provided. However, the Druid class consistently threatened Roman rule, culminating in their defeat at Ynys Mรดn in 61 AD, 18 years after the invasion and 8 years after Caratacus' capture.
Interestingly, Boudicca's revolt coincided with the burning of Ynys Mรดn in 61 AD.
Even after the sacking of Ynys Mรดn and Boudicca's defeat, unrest persisted, particularly in the west and north, leading to Emperor Hadrian's construction of Hadrian's Wall around 122 AD.
Something of interest for you Brits today...
Pre-Roman Britain was inhabited by Britons who, contrary to Roman portrayals as backward, were beginning to build villas, indicating a developing society.
King Cunobelinus played a significant role as a uniter of many tribes, extending his influence over a large area of southeastern Britain.
For centuries prior to the invasion, the Romans and Britons had been actively trading, with goods like gold, slaves, hunting dogs, and soap among the items exported alongside agriculture and metal trade.
Yes..That's right..we sold soap to Europe.
So much for smelly old Britons...which is what you've been led to believe.
The name "Britain" likely derives from the term "Pritani," used by the Greeks to describe the people of the island, which might mean "the painted ones" or "tattooed folk," reflecting a custom or appearance of the Britons. The Romans later adapted this to "Britannia" as they began to document and map the region.
I'm very much looking forward to my DNA test this year.
Many of my ancestors come from not more than 100 miles of where I live today.
As far as I've researched (400/500 years)..none of my lines come from anywhere else but here.
My Paternal surname is also Brythonic.
It'll be interesting to see what the DNA says.
I'd say the DNA Ancestry test is a major step forward (or back) for those who would really like to see where they come from..and where they belong.
I saw this on someones profile..
"Pro British. Slag the Royals and I block you".
This person clearly has no idea what they're talking about...Un-informed pap!.
Ok..If you're British..why would you support a Royal Bloodline that is not native..?
The House of Saxe/Coburg/Gotha is NOT a native lineage..!!.
Please..if you claim to be a patriot..at least do some bloody studying first...
To get things in perspective a little more...
I live on the South Coast of Britland...
Why would I feel so passionate about all things Welsh and Cornish?.
It is pretty simple...
The Welsh and Cornish ARE whats left of our British nation.
The language they speak is OUR national British languge..it belongs to all of us..
Thankfully they have kept it intact.
So the next time you hear someone speaking Modern Brythonic...( Welsh/Cornish/Breton).
Be aware that if you claim to be British..this is YOUR language too.
I think the fact that you're prioritising the English Language over our native Brythonic is bloody insulting quite honestly.
If you really cared a jot for the Western Britons you'd prioritise our native language..
Why don't you be true to what you say and take the last bold step...
Blimey..it's become apparent that the names for our ancient British Tribes are...incorrect..or a translation of a translation so to speak..
Why didn't I connect this before...?
This is why people go to university lol.
So..if you google a tribal map of Britain..this will give you the names and places where they lived..
Then we need to use google translate..(no this is not an ad).
So..copy and paste your British tribal name into the left translator box..Put the language as Latin to start off with..you can play about with it later..(detect Language etc etc..)
Put the translate box on the right to Welsh (Which is a modern form of our Brythonic Language.
See what comes up..this could actually be something very interesting..If you like that sort of thing..๐
