MAKERS is such a great project to be part of! Looking forward to building on the workshops we have run so far and bringing more skills to more people whilst supporting our community.
The MAKERS Project is a @greengowns finalist in the Benefitting Society category! 🎉
This @RAEngNews funded project has supported the community at UWE and beyond with a repair café and workshops on the topics of repair and making.

The @OldLibrary_EV & Re_Thrindle put on a great "Upcycle your Garment" session last night! Community members and @UWEBristol students learned how to re-style & alter unworn clothes into something new. This is part of the @RAEngNews funded repair and making focused MAKERS project.
Yesterday, we celebrated the completion of the MAKERS Project with all our wonderful community partners! It was great having everyone together and connecting on the topic of #repair and making and its many benefits, not only for the environment, but also for communities.
We will be running 4 sewing workshops with Re-Thrindle from @Sparks_bristol May - July.
Thanks to funding received from the MAKERS project these are offered free of charge, though priority is given to those on low incomes.
