Standing 2nd left, Captain Frederick Proudfoot had been decorated twice for gallantry with a Military Cross.

Private C E Stevens 1922-1977. In WW2, he volunteered in 1939 at 17 and served in the Royal Signals Regiment.
Photo is 1944 after training to be a founder member of The Parachute Regiment. He fought at Arnhem & was captured, and then spent over a year in a prisoner-of-war camp.

Kid was a notorious American outlaw & gunfighter of the Old West who was linked to 9 murders.
In 1881, Sheriff Garrett captured Kid. However, he escaped killing 2 deputies, evading capture for 2 months. Kid was shot & killed, age 21.
"My grandfather, John Ernest Rickard, born in 1900. Taken during his time in the far east in the Royal Navy on HMS Kent, from 1931 to 1933; between his military service in both WW1 and WW2.Deteriorated over the years, but I wanted it restored"

Vintage poster encouraging recruits for the Royal Naval reserve, c1957. The significance of the image is that the individual in the centre of the group of three is my father in law who is now 84 years old and was in the Royal Naval Reserves.
