You probably can play the crypto markets as simple as this for the next couple years
Saylor sells?
Time to scale in
Saylor buys?
Time to scale out
Do that until he's either stopped being a crackhead or until he's gone
Procrastination is an identity management problem. As long as you haven't started, you are still potentially great and potential is infinite. But actuality is finite and specific and mediocre at first.
Think of it as Schrödinger's talent: the box stays closed and you stay a genius.
Hype above 77$ = hype to 110 (short/medium term) = hype to at least 300$ before the end of the new cycle (september 2029)
Unless a massive hack happens, but if that happens you probably want to buy that dip
General rules for getting your spark back:
- Create a list of things that give you energy and a list that drains you of energy. Make it impossible to participate in draining tasks (like doomscrolling)
- Understand that momentum takes time. Even if you don't feel enjoyment immediately, feel good that you're building momentum
- Don't fixate on what you *need* to do; do things that you are curious about. Lean on intuition
- Instead of focusing on a "to-do" list, focus on a "done" list. Write down everything you accomplished no matter how small
- Don't force yourself to do things; just give yourself the option to do something constructive or simply do nothing at all
this is insane. i genuinely don't understand why ambitious people aren't shown this lecture before their careers start consuming their entire lives.
clayton christensen spent his career studying why successful companies collapse. in his final class, he asked students to apply the theory to themselves: if you keep allocating your time the same way, what life are you actually building?
he had already seen the answer in his own harvard mba class. everyone looked successful at the fifth reunion; by the 10th, 15th, 20th, and 25th, many were unhappy, divorced, and living far from their children.
work shows you the score immediately. close a sale, ship a product, finish a presentation, earn a promotion, get paid.
an hour with your child may produce nothing you can measure today; it may take 20 years to understand what that hour built. so the next free hour goes back to work, one rational decision at a time.
this is how people build lives they never planned: through hundreds of right decisions that lead in the wrong direction, day after day.
money, titles, and headcount are easy to count. christensen believed a life should be measured by the people who became better because you were there.
he died in 2020.
one question remains: if someone saw only where your time, energy, and attention went this year, what would they think actually mattered to you?
the full 19-minute lecture is in the video below.
Doge weekly is a complete bloodbath. Inverse parabolic pump. I don’t like that it’s trading under its 10/10 candle either.
Been in this game too long not to begin allocating here. Either goes to zero or makes you a few multiples on investment. DCA down to .05-.065
Added spacex to long term stock portfolio. One time buy, will not buy monthly after this. Stock down 50% from post-ipo ath peak, ok bottom structure formed and earning numbers were ok.
First thought my caution to not buy the ipo was wrong after the post-ipo pump, but in the end my caution paid off and could now add 50% lower. This will be a very long term hold and something i can hopefully pass to my children one day, counting on the space-economy to become huge and spacex being the crucial part with starship to bring it all into orbit
As with anything i share, think for yourself and make your own positions
