Catholic husband and father. Homesteader, outdoor adventurer, woodworker, handyman, and savvy budgeteer. Scientist by trade. @OldSoulRadTrad is my better half.
@hippiehomemakr Our diocesan TLM priest has told @OldSoulRadTrad and other mothers at parish that you can still receive in this case specifically. Prepare when you can (for example, pray in the car on the way to Mass) but bringing kids to Mass does not disqualify you from the Eucharist.
Getting 18 mo old daughter used to the idea that a baby is on the way by pointing to my wife's belly & saying "baby". My daughter learned very quickly & has progressed to pointing at my belly & saying baby. After this lesson in humility, I'm now on a strict diet & exercise plan.
@tonyapc42 Set forecast accuracy back a couple decades at least. Most likely means more tornado, hurricane, and flood-related deaths, more property damage, more traffic accidents due to unexpected bad weather, etc. But a lot of agriculture and drought mitigation depends on satellites too
@tonyapc42 Understood. Just pointing out that 5G is like any other signal (4G, radar, radio, microwave) that we've been using for decades, and not some gov conspiracy for mind control and all else that people are claiming. Then I got carried away on the other part...
@tonyapc42 5G uses the same wavelengths naturally emitted by Earth. Which is why meteorologists are worried 5G will degrade satellite data quality (which measure these natural emissions but will now contain 5G "noise"), which in turn will degrade weather forecasts.
With no access to Mass, what we do at home is all we have to mark the days and seasons of the Church cycle and its wonderful mysteries. This month's Liturgical Look-Ahead has everything you need to celebrate these holy days at home. https://t.co/KK6PJ6asOP
Today on a short drive to the store, I saw a father and young son washing their car, siblings throwing a ball in the front yard, and a family playing lawn games. If anything good comes out of this virus, it may be that we rediscover the value of family
With many of our Catholic churches closing to the public, the domestic church must step up! We're here to help. Prayer and penance are needed more now than ever!

Paying taxes isn't fun. But by filing early, you have more flexibility to decrease your tax burden. Here's how filing early saved me $800 this year: https://t.co/OS2pyhOSd3
