"Road to Preservation: Saving the Old State House" is a new exhibit that examines the history of the Old State House as it transitioned from capitol to museum and showcases the hard work of several groups to help preserve the building.
The Old State House Museum will be closed on these days for the upcoming holiday!

This month's featured artifact is above is an ordinary sheet of notebook paper, containing the original handwritten lyrics of "Christmas Can't Be Very Far Away," co-written by Songwriter Hall of Famer Roger Cook and Arkansas music legend Wayne Jackson.
The song was recorded by Contemporary Christian and Pop musical artist Amy Grant for her 1999 album, A Christmas to Remember, and was also featured that year on a CBS television special of the same name.
