Since before the war I have been wondering whether Kim's or Niki's ass is better.______
Listen to Molasses by Earl and then Pale Blue Eyes by Velvet Underground
@GolazoAmerica@tombogert Same goes for Tuchel in England. What do you want ๐คท . This is what it means to have a in demand manager. Keep them happy or else.
What an appalling speech the Mayor of New York delivered for the 250th anniversary of the nation.
Sadly, it reflects the view of America propagated for years by Howard Zinn and his like-minded colleagues in the universities and believed by armies of the young: a dark, oppressive country where common people are denigrated by tyrants and oligarchs, where immigrants are treated with contempt, where those with โsoft handsโ hold the wealth created by those with dirty hands.
No sensible person would claim that our country is without flaws, but the relentlessly negative picture painted by Mayor Mamdani is just absurd.
And it is the fruit of the Marxism that, sadly, is all the rage today.
There is a reason history matters.
Lenin didnโt take over Russia overnight. He first took over his party.
He energized young activists. He attacked moderates in his own movement as sellouts. He demanded ideological purity. He promised free everything, demonized business, divided society into oppressors and oppressed, and insisted the existing system was beyond reform, it had to be fundamentally transformed.
Sound familiar?
Today, @ZohranKMamdani and the @DemSocialists arenโt trying to win over the Democratic Party, theyโre trying to replace it. Primary by primary, incumbent by incumbent, theyโre pulling the party further toward government control, wealth redistribution, and anti-capitalist policies.
History doesnโt repeat itself exactly, but it often rhymes.
Every New Yorker who believes in free enterprise, public safety, fiscal responsibility, and the American Dream should be paying attention.
Political movements donโt transform institutions overnight. They do it one election at a time.
@greg_price11 The problem in politics is these people donโt come up with real solutions so they just double down on the dumb fringe shit in their respective parties driving them further down radical holes.
The irony of Republicans controlling all branches of government while
bankrupting the country, starting a war, sending money to fraudulent programs, violating the Constitution, giving corporations immunity...
but arguing that the biggest problem we have is โstolen elections.โ
@nytimes@TheAthletic No, Zlatan has the resume to back up what he says with out looking like a dope. Lalas, wellโฆ
Dempsey or Tim Howard have the personality, resume, and broadcasting experience to sit at that table.
