@secupp Many reasons for inflation weren’t Biden’s fault, and Trump won’t quickly fix. Neither Biden (mumbling) nor Harris (word salad) have a knack for speaking clearly and simply. A “Fireside Chat” approach might have worked with a good speaker (someone like Buttigieg, for example).

@TommyInPA The argument that Biden wasn’t reining in Netanyahu enough so let’s vote for Trump is indicative of the faulty logic by many groups that ended up getting him elected. I got lectured on here a couple times for saying it could be worse.

@BenjySarlin @NateSilver538 There was a theory that she needed to be on the ticket to make it easier to transition over the Biden-Harris money. I think the Dem power brokers wanted Newsome or Shapiro at the top with Harris as VP, but Biden overruled them. That might have worked.

@mmpadellan Reagan made a back room deal with Iran not to release the hostages until after the election. I’m sure Trump has back room deals ready to go. Will they be good for humanity? I doubt it. But his base will crow that he is a man of action.
