@Imfullofdoubt@palevioletblue When does a person's likeness become safe for public domain? A number of historical figures are used at will without any consent, but we hold a standard for a rapper?
@dbs7y8fhbd@Wario64 To help extend the time players are with the game instead having all the content day one and letting them burn through it right away.
@Kazru88@GameOverThirty@PaulTassi The difference is other publishers didn't pay 100 billion to acquire said studios and then start closing them even if they did well.
@SSGSentinel@JezCorden@PaulTassi That was the point of the last decade and they failed. Now onto their 3rd new leadership group in that time. Brute force with money was obviously not the answer and has forced them into 3rd party status.
@nick_maguire254@JezCorden@PaulTassi they would've doubled their sales if it was on Playstation day 1 and could've boasted about 10 million in sales instead of talking about players. They do NEED those sales from Playstation. Selling a few thousand extra Xbox consoles isn't moving the needle to make up for billions.
@TheGamingLedger@Nick_Marseil If it's not on Steam or Playstation they are literally sacrificing millions of sales and will not come close to gaining the market share they want.
@GameOverThirty@PaulTassi What games exactly? Anything massive should be multiplatform. Anything smaller won't move the needle. Forza would've done over 10 million in sales if it launched on Playstation day 1. Instead they mention players instead of sales for their numbers.
@TaylorJ501@JetLife_CL6@EASPORTSCollege Try making a AAA game in 9 months. They have very little time to anything worthwhile in the game, thats why they should just convert to yearly expansion passes like F1 did this year, but they make wayyyy to much on football to ever give up the $100 editions
@thicc_stick_boi@sa4t__@MDreyar_ I would rather have a new game that a creator is passionate about, especially one that expands a world we are invested in and have already enjoyed.
