The 1984 OCHS Football Team
The doors open at 5:00 for tonight’s Oldham County High School Hall if Fame Induction dinner. We are excited to welcome another great class of OCHS Alumni into the Hall!
The ‘84 OCHS Football team had the best season in School history. The Colonels posted a 10-0 regular season record, beating five schools who were defending District Champions. The Colonels beat Shelby Co to end the regular season and entered the playoffs ranked #1 in the State.
David Osborne: Graduated in ‘82 & wrestled, & was FFA president. While attending UK he toured the state to speak to local FFA chapters. Osbourne was first elected to the KY House of Representative in ‘05 and has served as the Kentucky Speaker of the House since January of 2019.
Brad Clifford: Graduated in ‘83, and grew up playing baseball and was the team manager for the Baseball team in ‘82 & ‘83. After graduation he coached at North Oldham Little League. In 2000 became the president of North Oldham Little League where he has served for 24 years.
Bethany Martin: Graduated in 1991, Martin helped OCHS to three 8th Region championships. As a Junior & Senior she was named to the 8th Region team and was a member of the All-state team in ‘90. Martin finished her career as the schools leading scorer with 1,435 points.
Mike Simpson: A ‘71 graduate, Simpson played Football, Basketball, & Baseball. After graduating from Cumberland College, Simpson returned home and was elected Jailer 7 times. He served in the position for 36 years, the longest term among Kentucky Jailers.
Nancy Theiss: Graduated in‘69 & was a member of the Cheer Team & Girls Golf team & played in the first Girls State Tournament. Theiss has been the Executive Director of the Oldham County Historical Society since ‘04 & in ‘15 was Oldham Countian of the Year.
