Filmed last week in Tampa. Senior dog wing. Elderly man named Robert, 82, visiting shelter with walker. Moving slowly. Carefully.
Daughter brought him. "Dad, you need companionship. Maybe a senior dog?" Robert skeptical. "I'm too old. Can barely walk." Staff brought Robert to senior wing. Five older dogs.
Robert looked at 13-year-old Beagle named Walter.
Both gray. Both moving carefully. Both slow. Robert knelt slowly beside Walter. Took two minutes to get down. Walter watched patiently. Waiting. When Robert finally down, Walter walked slowly into Robert's arms. Both gray faces pressed together.
Both breathing heavy from effort. Daughter filming.
Crying. "Dad, Walter moves exactly like you. Same pace. Same careful steps." Robert started crying.
"Walter's old like me. Walter understands." Robert told us: "My wife passed away last year. I'm 82. Can barely walk. Thought I was too old for a dog. Then I see Walter. 13 years old. Gray. Slow. Careful. Just like me. Walter doesn't need someone young and energetic. Walter needs someone who moves at his speed. That's me." Robert adopted Walter last week .
They walk together every morning. Both using slow, careful steps. Same pace. Matching. Robert posted on X: "I'm 82 with walker. Adopted
13-year-old dog. We're both old. Both slow. Both gray. We match perfectly. Walter and I will grow old together at the same pace." Post went viral. 5 million views. Comments: "Perfect match." "Two seniors helping each other." Veterinarian said,

A young woman was out jogging when she came across a beautiful white dog sitting alone by the roadside. She felt a little nervous at first, but seeing how friendly the dog was, she approached, spoke to it, and gently petted it.

The next day, she couldn’t stop thinking about the dog, so she went back to check on it. The dog was still in the exact same spot, recognized her immediately, and happily let her pet it. To her surprise, the dog calmly allowed her to pick it up and place it in the car.

She brought the dog home, a bit worried that it might belong to someone. Her husband was also surprised but deeply moved. They took it to check for a microchip, there was none. It was clearly a dumped stray. Her husband agreed to adopt her.

In a very short time, the dog adjusted remarkably well and was no longer shy at all. The woman named her Mahina (which means “moonlight” in Hawaiian) because of her bright white fur that shone like the moon.

All the dog had ever wanted was for someone to choose her… and at last, she found a loving family ❤️

Will Ferrell says a fan told him, “You’re no Larry David,” then doubled down by saying he wasn’t even close, prompting him to tell her to “shut up.”

Will Ferrell: I did have this amazing experience… I was at a restaurant, I was walking to the bathroom, and I just happened to be in lockstep with this woman who looks up and is like, “Oh, hi! How are you?” And I’m like, “I’m fine.” She’s like, “Oh gosh, great to meet you.” I’m like, “Thank you.” She’s like, “Uh, you’re very funny.” And I’m like, “Well, that’s very nice of you.” She’s like, “But you’re no Larry David.”

Josh Horowitz: (Laughs.)

Will Ferrell: And I go, “Oh, well, yeah. He…” Well, hey, I… and I kind of chuckle. I’m like, “Are you kidding me? He’s one of the best. He’s a king.” She’s like, “Yeah, yeah, yeah.” Anyway, she goes to the bathroom, I go to the men’s room.

I don’t know, somehow I come out, she comes out at the same time. She wasn’t waiting for me, it literally… and then she picks up right where she’s like, “I’m serious, you’re no Larry David.”

Josh Horowitz: Wasn’t a joke? She wasn’t just saying…

Will Ferrell: Like, “You’re not even close to him.” And then I’m like… I was like, “Okay, oh, we’re going there.” Because I do have the ability to stand up for myself that’s surprising to people, so I was like, “You know what? I get it. You like Larry David. Why don’t you go back to your table and shut up?”

Josh Horowitz: (Laughs.)

Will Ferrell: And she’s like, “Ah!” And then I just was like, “Pew!”

Josh Horowitz: I love to imagine, like…

Will Ferrell: Yeah, it was hilarious. And then I was like, “Okay, if you’re going to really keep it up, then I’ll get back in your face. Like, I get it, you like Larry David. I do too. You made your point. Shut up.”

Will Ferrell: And then she was taken… like, and I know she was back, so I know the B-side of that was like, “I just met that Buddy the Elf, he’s an asshole.”

Josh Horowitz: Like, for context, she was an asshole twice! (Laughs.) She doubled down.
