@agleig No, I mean the reading Buddhist public. I’m just thinking about the trade off between naturalizing abuse and the value of exposing it. For the general reading public my sense it just further exoticized those communities.
@agleig Also, can you discern how motivated/ persuaded people were re: “exposes the type of culture a lot of victim/survivors had to contend with”. My sense is that grew with the passage of time and more exposure re: similar cases.
@agleig I see your point. Although there is a middle ground which is to present and contextualize a selection of letters. In your research how balanced is the presentation for those supportive of the questions and line of inquiry?
@AnnieKArmstrong@margosteines In a nutshell: it decouples grading from assessment by giving grades based on labor or engagement and focusing assessment on a students understanding of their learning process. Lots of disciplinary variation re: implementation
