This makes me angry on a visceral level, especially as I look at my dogs, just coming in from freely running in the pasture, worn out and getting ready to snuggle into their beds. There has to be a special realm in hell for those who mistreat such an amazing, loyal species. We don't deserve them.
Absolutely perfectly stated response. So, it is his contention that, because they choose to not live a tech driven life and remain true to their way of life, which, in my limited experience with Amish, they do not demand others do, that they are somehow less American? I argue that they are what Americans should be. They live their lives according to their faith, they love their freedom, they love their country, and according to my cousin, who moved to PA a couple of years ago, love their neighbors and make the best ones. Plus, they are American citizens, so they don't need to assimilate to American way of life, because they are part of the tapestry of American way of life. I will defend anyone's right to live the way they want, within the boundaries of our laws, and as long as they are not infringing on the rights of their fellow citizens.
@happydoggothai Thank you to you all. Those doctors have helped what seemed like hopeless cases to thrive. Not to mention all of the procedures to get and keep the dogs healthy.
@AaronRigsbyOSC That looked spooky. I admire what professional storm chasers do because I truly believe those of you who know what you are doing save lives and provide valuable information, but my fascination turns to fear too fast for me to do it.
