@DrBobEdwards1 I’m of the opinion that we need to stick with Comp A (with the sunglasses) as the best sketch. All three stewardesses were there in person as it was drawn two days after the hijacking. Their memories would only decline from that moment.
@DrBobEdwards1 The article gets much wrong though. It says HJ asked for "heavy clothing" as part of ransom. Says FBI updated age to 35 to 38. Says HJ said to fly at 200mph. Says TINA made HJ two highballs and water. Says HJ gave TINA the first note. Don't think author spoke to Tina personally.
@DrBobEdwards1 Doc, Rataczak says in his FBI 302 that they “heard and felt an oscillation.” Additionally, the copycat crews also reported feeling pressure pops in their ears. I guess I’ll need to send you those articles.
@DrBobEdwards1 The pilots of the copycats also felt a pressure bump when those men jumped. They reported it immediately because they had been told to look for it, and those bumps did occur where we are 100% certain that those men jumped. Sled test isn’t necessary to prove the pressure bump.
@DrBobEdwards1 Are you aware that the copycat hijackings also produced pressure bumps indicating when those hijackers departed? The pilots of the hijacked aircraft had been told to be on the lookout for it by the FBI.
@tdnewcomb Tim, the Cooper chute you wrote about was badly debunked. Possibly even an intentional hoax. Former FBI agents are speaking against it as well. It's not remotely the right type of chute. Ck out DB Cooper Sleuth on YouTube for the debunking. It's my video if you want to msg me.
@DrBobEdwards1 Good article. One comment: Himmelsbach was never lead NORJAK agent. He technically wasn’t even an actual NORJAK agent. NORJAK was under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seattle Office. Only they could be NORJAK agents (ironic because Himmy did give the case the name “NORJAK”)
@mcaliente21@BBGreatMoments How many countless millions of high schoolers and dudes playing at the gym can hit a three pointer? How many can hit MLB pitching? This isn’t remotely comparable.
@DrBobEdwards1 LNU is definitely "last name unknown" in FBI speak. Funny you posted this because it's the only document from the latest Vault release that I pulled for my files. Great minds and all that, haha
@DrBobEdwards1 It's actually Bill Mitchell. Flo couldn't remember what his eyes looked like so they frantically asked the other witnesses. Gregory, Mitchell, and Williams picked eyes from the catalog. You can always tell it's Mitchell because of the Eugene reference.
@nut_history Piazza definitely met him again. He was an All-Star the year Teddy was honored at the ASG. He’s in the video crowding around the golf cart.
@DrBobEdwards1 Interesting map. Larson told Chaucer that it didn't go ANY further south than Swift Reservoir. I believe his mention of the Columbia in that article was just him speaking broadly for a national audience.
@DrBobEdwards1 McClelland was in Seattle in the same room as Harrison, Lowenthal, and Griffin. His times sync up with almost all of their times except for that 8:18 time.
