🚨🔵 XABI ALONSO, IT’S TIME TO GIVE ESTÊVÃO A REAL CHANCE! 😳🔥
I understand the caution with Estêvão. After the hamstring injury he picked up towards the end of last season, managing his minutes and making sure he stays healthy is the right approach.
But bringing him on in the 85th, 87th or 88th minute every time? 😭
That’s barely enough time for him to get into the game, let alone make a real difference.
And somehow, even with those tiny cameos, Estêvão STILL finds a way to show his quality. 🔥
Now imagine giving him 20–30 minutes against tired defenders. Bring him on around the 60th or 65th minute and let him attack with his pace, creativity, confidence and Brazilian flair. 💣🔥
That’s when he can really hurt teams.
He can create. He can score. He can produce that special moment out of nowhere.
Nobody is asking Xabi Alonso to play him for 90 minutes every game. Just give the kid meaningful minutes to develop his rhythm, confidence and chemistry with the team.
Estêvão has too much talent to spend almost the entire game on the bench before getting a few minutes at the end.
The boy is ready to explode. 💣🔥
Xabi, protect him, yes but don’t hold him back too much.
LET ESTÊVÃO PLAY! 💙🔥
Blues, what’s your take? 👀
Would you keep using him as a late-game option, or start giving him 20–30 minutes from around the 60th minute?
