#VFX
Martin Lewis who died in obscurity in 1962 was a retired art teacher who found some success in his early career, but was largely forgotten. He spent his last three decades teaching other people how to etch, including Edward Hopper.
History chose Hopper, but Lewis was his mentor.
While everyone is talking about the Cartoon Network leaks, while it isn't much, there was some Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain materials in there too!
One of my favorite things about Hey Arnold! is how much thought went into making Hillwood feel like a real city.
Craig Bartlett once revealed that while working on the first season, he traveled through Seattle, Portland, and Tacoma taking black-and-white photos of old buildings, rooftops, windows, doors, and fire escapes.
He put those photos together in a little reference book for the show's artists.
So much of what made Hillwood special came from real places Craig had explored growing up. Those worn-down buildings and crowded streets weren't just random backgrounds. They were a huge part of the world he wanted to create.
#Powerpuffgirls
I'm quite into this. This seems to be an exam about your ability to distinguish reality from social constructs, to characterize both clearly, and to place them in right relation to each other.
This is ~ the final boss of all learning, and most people are awful at it.
