Bounty reports will be due on May 31st, 23:59 UTC and must contain at least 20 addresses with a clear methodology.

A successful report will result in a bounty hunter receiving 10% of a sybil’s intended token allocation and the sybil receiving nothing.

Reminder
Self-reporting is open until May 17th, 23:59 UTC. Addresses that self-report as sybil receive 15% of their intended allocation, no questions asked. Addresses that do not self-report and are identified as sybil by our internal report, co-authored with Chaos and Nansen, or found during the bounty process will receive nothing.

The sybil self-report phase has now concluded. Each self-reported address will receive 15% of its intended token allocation, with the remaining 85% returning to qualified users.

Between the sybil self-report and analysis by LayerZero, @chaoslabs, and @nansen_ai, 803,093 addresses were identified as potential sybils.

The goal of this initial sybil analysis was to identify industrial sybil clusters. We initially flagged over 2 million addresses as potential sybils but applied stricter criteria to minimize false positives.

This list is preliminary. It aims to remove large clusters of addresses from bounty hunting eligibility, but should not be seen as definitive until the final report is published. For example, an address could be removed from the sybil list as we update methodology.

We will continue to refine and improve our methodology over the next two weeks of the bounty-hunting process. The initial list won't be updated during this period and won’t affect bounty hunters; the final sybil list will be released after May 31st, once bounty hunting has closed.

If you're a real user who tested merkly or used it for a gas drop -- you're probably not a sybil.

If you literally only ever used merkly to send NFT in a circle -- you are probably a sybil

Sybil Report
LayerZero has been working with industry-leading partners @chaoslabs and @nansen_ai to conduct our sybil detection report. This analysis will consider every user’s total transactions weighted across all LayerZero applications with the goal of aligning TGE with developers and durable users. We have received inbound requests from users about mistakenly self-reporting as sybil. The site will have a “Cancel Sybil Report” option starting tomorrow May 7th at 12PM PST. It will be live through the end of the self-reporting period on May 18th.
