Today we celebrate Vyshyvanka Day - it is an international holiday that aims to preserve the Ukrainian folk traditions of creating and wearing ethnic embroidered clothes called vyshyvankas. I love my hand-made vyshyvanka dress!

@cati1313 I grew up in B. Then I lived in Horlivka and Donetsk. In 2014 I left my occupied home in Donetsk, retuned to Bakhmut, which was very close to the frontline. So I moved to Kyiv, but often visited my family who lived in Bakhmut.

Bakhmut, my home town. In this picture I can see the yard where I spent my childhood, the destroyed apartments of my friends and relatives. And there’s a small dark spot - the window of my own room.
It’s hard to witness, but we must be strong. 🇺🇦 will win.

The first days of the invasion were hard.
I remember going to the supermarket after a two-day curfew. There were hundreds of people queueing outside and empty shelves with no food inside.
However, I was still determined to stay in Kyiv.

I grew up in Donbas and spoke russian for 34 years and 5 months of my life.
A year ago on this day I completely switched to Ukrainian and have never used russian as a communication tool since then.
One of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

@RSPFripp It was hard to organise online practise on a large scale because of power outages all over the country. But some people teach, some have been teaching since summer.
The results are positive, so I will definitely develop the idea.
