A father screams in anguish beside the body of his dead daughter. Two 15-year-old girls were killed in a russian attack on the center of Chernihiv, Ukraine.
Dozens are injured, including four children aged 10, 16, and 17, and a 10-month-old baby girl.
Meanwhile, Trump has ordered Ukriane not to hit russian oil refineries, so that russia could make billions and build more rockets and drones to kill more Ukrainians.
I have absolutely no doubt that Russia was simply forced to strike yet another passenger train packed with civilians at a railway station in a Ukrainian city, committing yet another mass murder, because the train obviously posed a grave threat to Russia's "legitimate security concerns" over "NATO expansion."
Ukraine’s 1st Azov Corps said it disabled more than 100 Russian trains. Its strikes hit locomotives, fuel tank cars, and other Russian equipment
The losses make it harder for Russia to supply its troops and keep attacking, according to the corps

⚡️️ Ukraine receives 12 Patriot missiles per month from US, Zelensky says.
Ukraine needs to intercept around 150 Russian ballistic missiles per month, but receives about 150 Patriot missiles from the U.S. annually, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Satellite imagery released by ABSreliable shows the aftermath of the October 10 strike on the Yug Rusi oil terminal near Bataysk in Russia’s Rostov region. Eight storage tanks were destroyed, while three more were scorched and are unlikely to return to service soon. #Russia
Our key shortage right now is Patriot interceptors to take down Russian ballistic missiles. Russia is betting primarily on ballistic missiles in this war, especially with winter approaching. We now need particular help securing anti-ballistic missile interceptors. Europe has these resources, and so do our partners in the United States.
It is important that the relevant programs truly work, particularly the PURL initiative, and that the U.S. side does not delay deliveries under the program. We are counting heavily on support for this at every level.
Every day of delay means losses and destruction for us, given that Russia’s ballistic missile campaign against our cities and communities continues every single day, nonstop. We need the appropriate deliveries.
I said this during a joint press conference with Rob Jetten @MinPres.
The U.S. military is sending an additional Patriot air defense system to Israel from Texas to strengthen its missile defenses, according to flight tracking data and two U.S. officials with knowledge of the movement, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
The move is one of several signs of preparation, the Journal says, as the U.S. weighs a possible short and intense campaign against Iran after the November 3rd midterm elections. Iran has warned it would respond to any attack with strikes on economic and civilian targets across the region. The Journal reports Trump has not made a final decision whether to attack.
Patriot systems and their interceptors are in short supply. Axios reported earlier this month that the U.S. had sent two additional Patriot batteries to protect energy sites in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and had moved batteries and interceptors from other commands to the Middle East. The Journal reports the U.S. and its Gulf allies are scrambling to restock missile defenses strained by Iranian attacks.

Azov reported that its drones hit over 100 Russian trains supplying the occupiers' logistics. Locomotives, fuel tankers, and other equipment were put out of action. This disrupted the supply lines of Russian forces and weakened their offensive capability.

Our important operation in the Kupiansk sector. Mykhailo Drapatyi, Ihor Obolenskyi, and Pavlo Palisa reported on the initial results and progress of Operation Veles, carried out by the Khartiia 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine. More than 100 Russian occupiers have already been eliminated, and more than 30 have been taken prisoner. The underground advance has exceeded 15 kilometers.
The Russians had already tried to use underground gas pipelines to move through our positions and launch assault operations. Ukrainian warriors have successfully transformed this tactic, modernized it, and made it much more sophisticated and technologically advanced. We are protecting the lives of our people, inflicting losses on the occupiers, and achieving our objectives in the Kupiansk sector. Glory to Ukraine!
What genuinely astonishes me to the depths of my soul is the audacity and cynicism with which this blatant, undisguised corrupt collusion with the Kremlin is dressed up as an effort to “improve relations with Russia” and “end the war,” as if nobody can see or understand what is happening.

Ukrainian attack drones successfully struck Russia’s NAK Azot chemical plant in Tula Oblast tonight, setting it ablaze.
The plant was a major producer of nitrate precursors used in Russian explosives manufacturing.
Just earlier, Flavio Bolsonaro reported on arrived in Miami, Florida after losing the election to his opponent in Brazil, President Lula. His passport and documents were restricted and the move comes following reports that the U.S. provided him with a visa.
Ukraine’s Defense Forces punched three holes in Russia’s air defense in a single day, opening more room for Ukrainian drones to work.
Hit on October 27 and overnight into October 28:
- Tor-2M SAM system, near Rzhava, Kursk region
- Radar station, near Maloye Gorodkovo, Kursk region
- EW station, near Semyachki, Bryansk region
- Logistics depot, near Valerianivka, temporarily occupied Donetsk region
Each one leaves a gap. Strikes on key military targets will continue until Russia ends its war against Ukraine.

Spoke with President of Finland @alexstubb and Prime Minister of Norway @jonasgahrstore following their call today with the Russian leader and as a continuation of our discussions in Oslo with representatives of America, Europe, and NATO. I am grateful for the detailed briefing and for their active support for our diplomacy and the peace efforts we are pursuing together with all our partners.
Alex and Jonas made it clear to the Russian leader that real de-escalatory steps are needed regarding our energy and infrastructure. We discussed preparations for the trilateral meeting planned for November at the team level – Ukrainian, American, and Russian. Finland and Norway, as countries that border Russia, have a particular interest in sound and reliable security arrangements. We also discussed various formats for our engagement with partners in Europe that could be useful in further supporting diplomacy, our defense, and our shared security.
There must be peace, de-escalation is needed, and Russia must stop dragging out the war. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine!
Russian President Putin reportedly spent most of his call today with Finnish and Norwegian leadership "ranting about Slavic history." -FT
Per NRK, the call reportedly went over an hour over its scheduled time, with little progress made on Ukrainian peace talks.
