The Ravens were not going to make the playoffs with Maxx Crosby and they won't make it without him.

They lost a lot of key players and they have a new coaching staff.

After all those players left and made the trade look that much worse for them and to me that is why they backed out of the trade.

The end result of this will likely be Lamar Jackson being traded next season or the season after because they will be nowhere near where they need to be in order to compete with him.

Crosby may be the one that got lucky here.

He can go back to the Raiders and I think they will be more competitive than the Ravens or he can go to a team that actually would make the playoffs.

I think Maxx would have been stuck in a very similar situation that he has been in the last couple years.
