this episode really shows how rotten everyone around them is

- the queen dowager is completely obsessed with protecting the royal family’s image and is fine with any methods as long as she doesn’t have to stain her own hands

- lord inpyeong with his insane obsession over keeping the royal bloodline “pure.” he is genuinely acting like one of the worst fathers ever and treating his own daughter like a tool instead of a person

- and min jungwoo’s betrayal…, he never made a move when he had the chance. huiju trusted him enough to tell him about the marriage contract first, only for it to get leaked anyway. and now all he asks from her is to quietly endure everything while he handles things from the shadows. it’s even worse because all of this starts happening when his feelings get shaken and he realizes he can no longer reach her now that she’s falling for someone else
