@murphster155 But that's the crux of the story, reality doesn't negate authenticity, it's all part of a whole. In the cards, like "Budding Insurgent" we also see Hexhaven students thinking for themselves as well. And the fear of the students at the end of the story seemed quite real to me.
@Dym_Drimluga Love the shirt! Very tough decision on editions. In my opinion W5 (what I usually play) is the most mechanically elegant and a great starting point. IMO Older editions have deeper degree of customization and lore to chew on but lack the same accessibility.
@mesm3r_8 It's a great idea! The allegory absolutely fits, if you ever need more inspiration I cannot recommend the ttrpg Demon: the Fallen enough, an entire RPG that orbits this idea.
I can't put my finger exactly on it but from RE9's title font, all the way through to the rainy grey streets, the hooded slasher antagonist, Grace growing up in-game, the Saw-ish opening of the demo, the liminal/old style hospital, all make the game feel delightfully 2000's.
