The Carney Liberals did not win a majority government through a general election or today's by-elections. Instead, it was won through backroom deals with politicians who betrayed the people who voted for them.
While the Prime Minister spent the year on this cynical power grab, he has doubled the deficit, and given Canada the worst grocery prices and housing costs in the G7.
Liberals expect Canadians to give up, get complacent and go away, so Carney can have total power without any accountability. That will not happen. Our country and its people are worth fighting for.
We will continue to fight for people to afford homes, food and fuel.
We will continue to fight for safety in our streets.
We will continue to fight for our resource workers and soldiers.
I will continue to lead that fight every day and in every way in Parliament, across the country and in the next election, when Canadians will reclaim the country we know and love.
For anyone who doesn’t know what’s happening in Canada right now,
Conservative politicians are being given backroom deals—or being blackmailed—to switch parties and prop up the Liberal Party of Canada into a majority government
This is the equivalent of Republicans flipping to Democrats, building an unelected majority, and ramming through extremist policies no one voted for
Throw in the hardcore censorship bills they’re passing at the same time, and it’s like those now official new democrats then banning free speech, fast-tracking social media “hate crime” prosecutions, and doing whatever the hell they want… because your vote no longer matters
They could turn all of Texas blue overnight and ram through the most extreme, democracy-ending policies—and you’d have no say in it
Every single person should have a serious issue with this, regardless of political preference or affiliation
@alamodrafthouse has seriously dropped in quality in just 2 months since my last visit. Mobile ordering in a theatre just makes no sense. Bring back spicy ranch popcorn. Terrible experience.
Went to see some live jazz last night, which was pretty good. The issue was this monstrosity of a cocktail they served me. How is the waitress going to watch me order this drink off of the cocktail menu, tell me it’s an excellent choice, and NOT warn me that it’s going to be served inside of a massive ceramic fucking parrot? Typically I’m fully content to unabashedly order a fruity drink; cosmos, peach schnapps, coconut rum, a little purple flower garnish on top - you name it, I’ll get it. Totally shameless. You’re going to judge me? That’s fine, enjoy your piss-flavored Negroni. But this is where I draw the line. I do not want to pay 22 bucks to drink out of a side character from the movie “Rio”. The patrons at the tables near us didn’t even try to suppress their giggles as this thing made it over to us. The waiter dropped it off and whispered “better drink it before it flies away!”. Do I look like some sort of clown to you? I’m paying copious amounts of money to watch a man play the saxophone and you’re serving cocktails from the poolside bar of a carnival cruise, I’m in no mood for jokes. There’s a high probability that I was captured mid-sip in an Instagram story from the girl sitting adjacent to us with the caption “only in New York 😝”. The worst part? It was downright delicious, and I had 3 of them. Would recommend.

@JJ_McCullough Young, NDP-supporting Canadians aren’t nearly involved enough in politics. In my experience, they try to look for an alternative to the LPC or CPC and are won over by a promise of general progressivism without looking any deeper.
I hope the Stars revamp their jerseys for next season. Bruins getting a new kit for like the fifth time in 10 years should be a wake up call for us. #TexasHockey
