Could you Imagine if American outlets stopped reporting on what Trump is doing. No scrutiny, no investigations, no hard questions, instead: endless coverage of Democrats (even though they aren’t in power).
You wouldn’t call that journalism… you’d call it state media. You’d call it a democracy-ending transparency problem. That’s been Canada for years now. Not hypothetical.
So next time you see Canadians throwing themselves into the boycott of the week… remember they’ve been fed a fraction of the story their entire lives.
That’s not their fault, and I don’t entirely begrudge them for it. It’s the design we need to start being more vocal about.

@BartFurley Because of the rotten equalization system! Manitoba is taking $5 billion out of equalization to pay its bills! Cut out the program and let’s see how popular he is!
@junonewscom@TheRealKeean The problem is with the rigged federal electorate system heavily favouring Eastern Canada, the Cons have to basically be a centrist party or left leaning. Change the federal electorate system and very likely the Liberals don’t win!
It's not a "tanker ban." It's an NDP economic blockade.
Foreign ships still sail freely along B.C.'s northern coast.
The only thing being blocked is our prosperity, while doing absolutely nothing to protect the environment.
