Спонукавши наших предків прийняти світло віри Христової, Князь Володимир Великий відкрив перед сіверянами, полянами, деревлянами, волинянами і ще багатьма племенами шлях до єдності, до утвердження себе в єдиному народі і державі.

Володимир Хреститель не лише визначив духовний вибір наших предків. Він заклав підвалини держави, яка стала частиною європейської цивілізації. Саме тоді розпочався шлях України до Європи — шлях, який триває й сьогодні.
Київська Русь не була околицею чужих імперій. Вона була одним із найвпливовіших центрів тодішньої Європи. Софія Київська, Реймське Євангеліє, династичні союзи київських князів із провідними європейськими дворами — усе це нагадує: ми прийшли до європейської родини народів не сьогодні і не вчора. Ми були і є її частиною понад тисячу років тому.

Потім були століття поневолення. Імперії намагалися привласнити нашу історію, нашу державність, нашу церкву, нашу мову. Вони прагнули переконати світ і нас самих, що України ніколи не існувало. Але пам’ять про Київ, про Хрещення Русі, про власну державну традицію пережила всі заборони й окупації. Саме вона допомогла відродити незалежність України.
Сьогодні Росія знову веде війну не лише проти нашої землі. Вона воює проти нашої історії, нашої ідентичності й самого права українців бути собою. Тому День Хрещення Русі — України і День Української Державності сьогодні мають особливе значення. Вони нагадують: нинішні захисники України продовжують справу багатьох поколінь, які протягом століть боролися за нашу свободу і державність. Наша держава була щитом народів, що захищав їх від орди зі Сходу. Як тепер.

Ми вистояли тому, що пам’ятали, хто ми є. І переможемо тому, що залишаємося вірними своєму тисячолітньому вибору — бути вільною європейською нацією.

X est, et devrait en tout cas, être un espace d'écoute et d'échange, mais je constate que, comme moi, quand on dit que l'on déteste le RN et ses satellites et que l'on exécre encore plus LFI et toute la gauchiasserie en général, on se prend des torrents d'insultes.
Bon cela dit moi ça ne m'empêchera jamais de dire que je déteste l'extrême droite et que j'exècre l'extrême gauche.
