The conversation was rich as students shared their robotic creations in Stage 3 today. Students had designed robots that help humans in their daily life. Robots ranged from automatic pet feeders, to robots that help people with disabilities do and undo zippers! Such innovation!
Stage 2 students have been researching different gardens as part of the Living World unit. To conclude their research students could choose to present their learning in Google site or Google slides.
Last Friday, March 15, students at OLOR took part in the National Day of Action against Bullying & Violence. Students worked in Mercy House peer support groups to discuss ideas from this year’s theme Take a Stand Together and complete a banner for each House.
Building community at OLOR. Yesterday many of the students from Kinder and Year 5 came with their dads (and some mums) to our Blokes and Buddies BBQ. We finished off the afternoon by introducing our Kinders to our parish with our first Parish/School Mass for 2019.
A big thank you to all of the OLOR parents who helped us with our Open Day. You were amazing and it was wonderful to see how enthusiastically you promoted our school. We are so thankful to everyone who helped promote the day and who gave us their time today.

Great night in the pool for OLOR at Diocesan Carnival. Terrific efforts and wonderful results. Five swimmers move through to Polding - our 3 siblings now representing the Diocese as well as the school. Congratulations to all and so exciting.
A first for OLOR- 3 siblings are 2019 Swimming Age Champions, the 3 represent school at Cluster and now the 3 compete at Diocesan. Congratulations to the 10 OLOR students who will compete at Diocesan level tonight.
