Hon. Taiwo Olukemi Oluga, PhD: A Record of Legislative Experience

Hon. Taiwo Olukemi Oluga represented the Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan Federal Constituency in the 9th National Assembly from 2019 to 2023 where she participated in legislative proceedings and sponsored bills and motions addressing issues of national and constituency importance.

Her reported constituency interventions covered areas including:

- Education and classroom infrastructure
- ICT Learning Centre
- Electricity
- Skills development
- Healthcare
- Youth empowerment
- Constituency development

Her public service continued beyond the 9th National Assembly.

In February 2025, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed Hon. Taiwo Olukemi Oluga as a member of the National Assembly Service Commission, representing the South-West. She subsequently resigned from the Commission in accordance with the applicable requirements for public office holders seeking to participate in elective office.

This additional responsibility has given her further exposure to the workings and administration of Nigeria’s legislature.

This progression gives her a distinctive combination of experience:
• Former Member, House of Representatives
• Former Federal Commissioner, National Assembly Service Commission
• Experience in legislative proceedings and constituency representation
• Experience within the administrative structure of the National Assembly
• Knowledge of federal institutions and legislative processes
