ATIKU’S CLAIM ABOUT TINUBU’S AGE IS LAUGHABLE, CONTRADICTS HIS OWN PUBLIC RECORD — ADOJUTELEGAN
The Director-General of BTO FOR PBAT ’27 Support Group, Ogbeni Adojutelegan Adesuyi Gideon, has described former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar’s recent claim about the age of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as “laughable,” arguing that it contradicts a previous public statement attributed to the former vice-president.
Adesuyi said the controversy had raised questions about consistency and credibility in political discourse, particularly as the country gradually moves towards the 2027 general elections.
He recalled that on March 29, 2020, Atiku Abubakar reportedly congratulated President Tinubu, who was then the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, on his 68th birthday.
According to Adesuyi, Atiku’s message at the time was clear, as he wished Tinubu a happy 68th birthday and prayed for him to enjoy many more years in good health and strength.
He therefore questioned how Tinubu, who Atiku reportedly described as 68 in 2020, could now be presented as 90 years old only six years later.
Adesuyi said political disagreements should not become an excuse for making claims that appear inconsistent with previously documented public statements. He urged political actors to demonstrate greater responsibility and consistency when discussing issues of national importance.
The BTO FOR PBAT ’27 Director-General said the 2027 political conversation should focus more on issues that directly affect Nigerians, including economic growth, security, infrastructure, employment, healthcare and improved living standards.
He added that Nigerians were capable of assessing the records of political leaders and making informed decisions based on their performance, policies, competence and vision for the country.
Adesuyi maintained that President Tinubu remained focused on implementing his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, urging political leaders and their supporters to engage in issue-based campaigns as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.

BTO FOR PBAT ’27 SALUTES TUNJI-OJO’S BRIDGE-BUILDING LEADERSHIP, RALLIES ONDO APC FOR TOTAL VICTORY
The leadership and entire membership of BTO FOR PBAT ’27 Support Group commend the Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. (Dr.) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO), for his sustained commitment to party unity, grassroots mobilisation and the collective success of the progressive family in Ondo State.
At this defining stage of the political journey towards 2027, BTO continues to demonstrate that enduring political strength is built not merely on influence, but on unity, reconciliation, inclusion and respect for all stakeholders.
His consistent advocacy for peace and cohesion within the All Progressives Congress (APC) reflects a clear understanding that the party’s greatest electoral asset is a united political family working towards a common goal.
BTO FOR PBAT ’27 particularly acknowledges his efforts to strengthen grassroots support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and to advance the Renewed Hope agenda across Ondo State.
Equally important is his commitment to the collective success of APC candidates at all levels. The task ahead must go beyond individual ambitions. It requires concerted mobilisation for the President, the party’s National Assembly candidates and State House of Assembly candidates.
This is the politics of collective victory — no division, no unnecessary rivalry and no abandonment of any candidate carrying the progressive mandate.
Beyond electoral mobilisation, BTO’s leadership philosophy continues to emphasise peace, loyalty, mutual respect and political accommodation. These values, the group believes, are essential to strengthening the APC and creating the stability required for sustainable political progress.
His record of public service at the Federal Ministry of Interior, the group added, further demonstrates a leadership approach anchored on reforms, innovation and measurable results.
As the 2027 elections draw closer, BTO FOR PBAT ’27 calls on APC leaders, members, support groups, youths, women and grassroots stakeholders across Ondo State to embrace the spirit of unity, reconciliation and collective responsibility.
The group urged all stakeholders to put the overall interest of the party above personal differences, stressing that a united APC would be better positioned to secure victory at the polls.
“Our message is clear: APC is one family. Our strength is unity. Our responsibility is mobilisation. Our destination is victory.”
BTO FOR PBAT ’27 also saluted Hon. (Dr.) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for what it described as his bridge-building approach to leadership — one that seeks to build relationships rather than walls, promote reconciliation rather than division, and place the collective interest of the progressive family above personal considerations.
BTO FOR PBAT ’27 — United for PBAT. United for APC. Mobilising Ondo for 2027.
