Annually, Unilag dolls out about 9,200 and 7,800 admissions for undergraduate and postgraduate courses respectively.

Before Tinubu became President, the ancillary fees for an undergraduate averaged at N15,000 per session while that of a post graduate averaged at N50,000 per session.

The university raked in less than N3 billion per session from ancillary fees paid by undergraduate (all levels) and post graduate students while its monthly salary and consolidated allowances for its total staff strength is around N1.7 billion monthly and approximately N20 billion annually. If FG didn't come to its rescue with the yearly subventions, where is the school expected to get the shortfall of N16.2 billion from?

The school's annual budget for the 2025 fiscal year is around N26 billion...fully funded by FG. Same FG funds funds some of its infrastructural projects.

Where's the school going to get money to fund its daily running costs, seminars, research, trainings, maintenances, emergencies/contingencies, equipments, certain infrastructural projects, etc if the fees sit at N15,000 and N50,000?
