1. In life there is always a time to sow and a time to reap. It is what you set aside in your harvest, you will sow in the next planting season.
2. Prioritise self. Investing in your life's growth and development will yield results that will benefit others.

I learnt this the hard way when i was chasing a contract to produce something for a Chinese run coy. After multiple physical meetings & several samples demanded, I read the room.
To think i wanted to produce for the Asians🤦🏼♂️
The danger of selling to big companies, if you're a startup, is that they don't say no outright. They have months of meetings with you first. Since you hate meetings, that seems to you a sign of commitment. But it's not. They love having meetings! It's almost all they do.
You learn this fast in Enterprise Sales.
1. They love meetings, and they are happy to have endless meetings with you.
2. You give insights in those meetings and they learn from them. In some cases, they use those insights to advance their positions in the company.
3. Sometimes they genuinely want to work with you, but buying committees need time, so to keep you close, they need those meetings to continue.
As a startup or salesperson, these can help:
1. Don’t crush on them. It’s like attempting to date someone out of your league, you’ll be excited they said hello, when it’s truly nothing.
2. Ask direct questions, even if uncomfortable. Can you make decision. Do you have a budget, is this a problem you are willing and able to solve?
3. Follow your sales process (I.e do the right things), then move on to other opportunities without burning bridges.
you’ll be alone in the most difficult times of your life. those moments will make you wise, mature and fearless. pain will teach you who you are when nobody is coming to save you. isolation will show you your strength. silence will sharpen your spirit.
I have spent eight years of my life in a federal university. My first school fee was ₦35k. I could fill my 6kg gas cylinder with ₦2k, and ₦10k was enough to cover my monthly stipend. I am Muhammad's daughter—Dangote doesn't even hold a candle to the man who raised me.
Major cheat code for life: Assume good things are still ahead. You are not behind. You are not too late. You are not disqualified by your past. One new season can change the entire story. Keep showing up with belief. The best chapters are often written after the hardest ones.
Why do you like skipping on my floor?
She: It's peaceful and quiet.
Me: Ok, how many Kg's have you lost?
She: 2kg in a month
Me: Impressive! Sha don't loose the vital parts along with it o.
She: *Giggles like a shy lady* I will try. 😊
Back in uni my JCI president invited us for her dad's burial. She just said when you get to "waterside" you will see my people there. We got there & called only for her to say "ehen, you will join our boat to ogoloma."
About 1hr+ of wild sea travel with no life jacket!
Happy birthday to the man who fought another lecturer who wanted sex over my hard work as a student. A lecturer boldly failed me because I refused a visit. He was known for it. I was in 200 level then. I saw the disappointment on my professor's face because this was someone he helped.
When the information got to my professor, he took immediate action.
On the agreed date for the hearing, I got into the room with my previous results on the table. All I heard was, "It cannot be Blessing. Dr, something is wrong. She wrote all of these in the past. She is diligent. It can't be my daughter. Dismiss this."
Although it was too late for the portal to change the verdict online, I am glad my innocence was proven. All my scripts magically reappeared. And the next generation after me has not had to deal with such an element. I saw my script. I did not fail, as written by the man who lacks self-discipline.
I have not forgotten how you stood up for me, Sir. You made sure whoever did this paid heavily for it. It is 5 years after graduation but everything is still new in my heart.
Professor Modo gave me access to his library. He encouraged me to be steadfast. He has not forgotten me. He spoke to me early this year and told me to further my studies since I am well now.
Throughout the time I was sick, he was always talking to me. He would say, "When you are ready, go to this institution and tell XYZ that you are from me."
Thank you, my amiable Professor Innocent Modo. You stood up for so many. You shielded many with school fees and feeding money. I witnessed it as a student then. May God keep shielding you, Sir.
