@BBCYaldaHakim@BBhuttoZardari The use of the word "Islamic" as a descriptor of a form of terrorism is what actually "emboldens" fanatics. You are lending Islamic legitimacy to those fanatics in Pak when you lack the cred to do so. Most actual Scholars of Islam (i.e. who do have a say) term them un-Islamic.
@CharlotteBellis You say that now, but didn't you just say in a recent interview/discussion "I hear that .... is what they [Afghans] faced in the 90s" without citing any of that info or even mentioning your source so that viewers could double-check rather than just believe it at face value?
@mangoeart@Sardar____@YasirQadhi 'Most Muslim Countries'? Which ones are you referring to exactly?
Generalizing and lack of specificity doesn't bolster an argument.
@RohaNadym That's an overreaction. He's already apologized.
Everyone blows a little hot under the lid occasionally (e.g. Michael Holding kicking down the stumps in 1980).
@Mahnoor_Shafiq@MalickViews You don't have to be condescending about it. It's not obligatory to know the profile of every single person you hear off the TV.
Horrific. Just released CCTV from inside home of Jana Kiswani, the girl who was shot by Israeli forces outside her home in #SheikhJarrah Jerusalem during May 18 strike.
I was there too & witnessed the indiscriminate shooting by police into people's homes.
May 19—an IOF pig shot 15yo Jana Kiswani in her spine, while she was *inside her house* in Sheikh Jarrah
Notice how, upon hearing her obviously juvenile screams, he threw another shot. They do this for fun. One day we will avenge her. #SaveSheikhJarrah
@h00rainx @m7mdkurd UN is not going to do anything. We've seen the same story repeat elsewhere: Kashmir, Rakhine State, Xinjiang to name just a few.
It's all up to us. We must take responsibility and compel our respective governments, whether in a Muslim or Non-Muslim country, to take action.
@A_Saffronista@ImranKhanPTI That's some really awful math. '[With]in 9 weeks' =/= 'For 9 weeks'.
Not interested in a debate, but just wanted to point out the difference between the two.
#OnThisDay
Javed Miandad hit that famous last ball six of Chetan Sharma's bowling as Pakistan defeated India by one wicket to lift the AustralAsia Cup, their first major ODI trophy.
#OnThisDay in 2008, the Indian Cricket Team, and cricket in general, transformed irrevocably:
The Indian Premier League was born. The rest, as they say, is history!

#OnThisDay in 2004, the "The Prince of Port of Spain" accomplished a feat once thought impossible!
@BrianLara scored International Cricket's first quadruple century (400*) against @englandcricket. To this day, he holds the record for the highest-ever Test Score.

@CricCritic2@downthegroundtw The second would be awesome to watch. Particularly since they abandoned a traditional approach in a country filled with Test purists, persisted after the WC16 & CT17 losses and in the end, earned the ultimate prize.
The third one and MA's homeworkgate...
Following on from this unprecedented docuseries (in Cricket), what other period of Cricket would you have liked to see documented?
Perhaps, when the team you support underwent some serious crisis but only to prevail in the end? Let us know in the comments!

@downthegroundtw For Pakistan, definitely the Fixing Saga of 2010. It defined PCT for the entire decade to come. Only now have we finally started to see some real renaissance.
*The Test: A New Era for #Australia's Team*
A fantastic Docuseries that provides insight into how a team struggling for identity ends up making history in just 18 months!
