It is reasonable to conclude that Jada Tran, aka The Ghost, has a personal vendetta against The Avalonian Union since they are responsible for her parents’ deaths and hence a motivation to see the Avalonians lose the Office of the Omega Protector.
The @omegaraceleaks inbox has been inundated since first reporting this story with accounts from countless Quorinai people who have had first-hand interactions with The Ghost (many of them children and families).
One anonymous account I received wrote that The Ghost spoke to them about her own childhood growing up on the streets after her parents were killed in a mine collapse.
Furthermore, surveillance footage that @OmegaRaceLeaks acquired from the Avalonian Guard headquarters shows that The Ghost actually had a diminutive frame, much more consistent with a female than a male. More specifically, a *young* female frame matching Jada Tran’s body type.
@OmegaRaceLeaks has acquired images of the portable Pinching Rig worn by “The Ghost” and the Rig installed in the cockpit of The Ronin. The two rigs are identical (see image comparison below).
Neither Rig matches any commercially-produced device which implies that this is a one-of-a-kind custom build.
There is no question that these two Pinch Rigs are one and the same.
However, no reward was ever collected as The Ghost was never apprehended. Curiously, ever since Jada Tran joined Ozi Vaendal in the Omega Race, thefts committed by The Ghost have ceased. The Ghost has disappeared completely.
Is this a coincidence?
There was a notorious thief at the Quorinai Bazaar who was nicknamed “THE GHOST”, aptly named as they would just “disappear into thin air” when being pursued by authorities.
The Avalonian Guard who patrolled the occupied sections of Quorin at one point offered up a 1,000 Credit reward for information that led to The Ghost’s capture and a 2,000 Credit reward for their capture.
@OmegaRaceLeaks is also in the process of researching a BIGGER story that alleges that the risk of “Pinching” and “Threading” carries much more potential danger than to solely the RUNNER and their crew. The ramifications of continuing this practice could be...catastrophic.
Of course what the Omega Race Supervisory Commission fails to acknowledge is that any mistake made by the Pincher will result (in a best case scenario) in significant damage to the vehicle or (in a worst case scenario) instant incineration of the vehicle and its passengers ☠️
It is no surprise that—at the time of this writing—Jada is the lone Pincher on any Omega racing crew. Most RUNNERS abandoned this dangerous gambit a long time ago.
Although Mace *has* unintentionally inspired a subsect of young racing monks who have voluntarily had their limbs replaced for cybernetic ones. Though not condoned by Mace, these monks are becoming ubiquitous on the Omega Racing scene.
Though more machine than man, Mace remains “The Monk” that he has been since he was a child. He doesn’t hide his cybernetic limbs, rather he shows them as a sign of the sacrifice that is required to protect the Gon’Dwanni’s sovereignty from the Avalonian oppressors.
