@heyyymoonk@PGeneDidIt That’s definitely valid in terms of speaking from your experience as a gay man and I’m no way trying to discount that, but can you see how starting off with “Being a gay man…” can come make it seem like it’s finding love is only this exhausting in the gay community?
@rauriinterlude@Unknown_Dre Because you like so many others like say things just to be messy. Who cares if he posted that man. It may be short lived but it’s their life. Posting a man publicly, that you actually love and have built a solid foundation with shouldn’t be a humiliating act.
@PGeneDidIt What’s actually normalized in the community is the flawed thinking that these types of situations are unique to the gay community, meanwhile our straight counterparts literally do the EXACT same thing. This is an individual human issue, not a gay community issue.
@melodramtiic It’s about the same for me and it’s not even about the digital trail left behind. It’s about self respect and not needing that much external attention and possible validation from others.
