Dear @AshwiniVaishnaw ji

I propose that IRCTC introduce the following:

- Do not allot the exact seat while booking (only show CNF or WL)
- Allot final seats 12 hours before chart is prepared and give priority for Senior Citizens & Ladies with Children.

In this way, algorithm can allocate lower berths for Seniors & can take latest data just before chart preparation. Seniors need not climb the top berths.

Hope this is considered. I request my audience to amplify this until some action is taken.

It took 6 hours to drive to Mumbai from Pune yesterday and then 5 hours to drive back. And the 6 hours to Mumbai included driving on the Missing link (13 minutes), Atal Setu and the Freeway to Mumbai, which took less than 30 minutes, and the brilliant coastal road and sea link, another 20-odd minutes.
It took us 2 hours to get out of Pune from our home! 45 minutes was spent over less than a km on the Katraj bypass. Whoever the idiot was whose brainwave it was to make a 4-5 lane highway to ease traffic that suddenly becomes a 2-lane road over a bridge deserves a national award for stupidity.
