@suecresswell01 The state pension amount is laughable at best for sure, BUT didn't folks know exactly for much they are going to receive? What stopped them from investing in private pensions or other savings to top it up?
Copied from a Facebook post. Brilliant @andyburnham
FUCKING HELL ANDY, YOU ABSOLUTE VISIONARY!!
People are struggling to afford petrol, families are watching every penny, and filling your car up now requires a small mortgage and a letter of permission from your bank manager. But fear not, ladies and gentlemen, because Andy Burnham has come riding over the horizon like a financially responsible Batman. His master plan?! GOOGLE FUCKING MAPS !! That’s right. Not cheaper fuel. Not a reduction in fuel duty. Not anything that actually makes the bastard stuff more affordable. No. He’s proudly announcing that we can now look at a little map and see WHICH petrol station is going to financially bum us the gentlest. GROUNDBREAKING STUFF THIS !! And the best bit? Google Maps has been showing fuel prices in various places for YEARS. So he’s effectively stood up, puffed his chest out and announced the invention of something that’s already bloody existed. What’s next, Andy?! A revolutionary new device that tells us when it’s raining? A calculator to help us discover we’re fucking skint? Perhaps a mirror so we can watch ourselves ageing while waiting for politicians to do something useful? I don’t need a map to tell me petrol is expensive, Andy. I’ve got a fucking bank account!
At this rate, next week’s big announcement will be that he’s discovered you can save money on your electricity bill by TURNING THE FUCKING LIGHTS OFF. Honestly, we’ve got people running this country who’d turn up to a house fire, hand you a thermometer and congratulate themselves for helping you understand the temperature.
ABSOLUTE FUCKING GENIUS!! Fuck my life !
@SkyNews Wonder if it is the people who actually still do something in this company.
RM has ~7% of sickness absence every single day, that is 3x the national average.
Something needs to give.
@CoviLeaks Good luck with that. Keep pushing and the only outcome will be more people leaving, using less services and economic decline. Beautiful example where virtue signalling and wild ideologies meets reality.
🚨 THE GOVERNMENT NOW HAS TO ANSWER US.
In less than 72 hours, over 15,000 people have signed my petition demanding a simple rule:
If they can’t pass an audit, they can’t raise our taxes.
Up to £81 BILLION is lost to fraud and error EVERY YEAR, while public bodies repeatedly fail audits.
Rather than fix it, our politicians simply come back to taxpayers for more and our media doesn’t talk about it.
So we will.
At 100,000 signatures, this petition can be considered for debate in Parliament.
We’ve passed 15,000 in three days.
Let’s take this all the way to 100,000 and make Parliament confront it.
Sign. Share. Keep pushing. 👇

Petition: Ban the sale of glue traps
The sale of glue traps should be banned in line with the current ban on their use under the Glue Traps (Offences) Bill 2022 in order to protect animals and wildlife and limit their suffering caused by such traps.

Secretary of State for Housing @SteveReedMP claims the public “DOES NOT” want a General Election.
Let’s test that right now.
Do you want a General Election?

@Jenny_1884 If it has more than salt added to it, it is not landing on my plate. You need a PhD in chemistry to understand what some products are made of nowadays.
@ThePosieParker I called mine at 8:01 today. Was 31st in the queue. Waited over 1.5h to be told that they can book me in for Friday afternoon. What is the point of them and paying all that tax for.
