@KingBobIIV When working, I had the Sy lecture each year warning of 'honey traps' - beautiful foreign ladies (or lads, no judgement!) throwing themselves at you to get access to secrets.
@Daswolfen@reddit_lies Same with reincarnation. No-one had previously lived as a slave, serf or peasant, despite that being 99.9% of everyone who has ever lived. No, its always a princess, or Napoleon, or a gorgeous gypsy girl.
@KingBobIIV There's an excellent clip on YT of Christopher Hitchens talking of this. Summary: 1812, US Ambo asked Ottoman Ambo why they were kidnapping Yanks, when they'd done nothing against them. Ambo: "because the koran says we can".
@JackCaramac@MalHay It is very different, at a molecular level. People over 60 and many cancer patients are told to avoid it. I have early stage prostate cancer (like many many other men) and I've been told to avoid it specifically.
@Simstersnose@tomwooding Universally approved for pregnancy, yes.
Universally disapproved of - I.e. you are strongly recommended against - for men with prostate cancer, as well as those over 60, many other cancer sufferers, etc.
@davagooner@MsSMHI@Tesco Possibly eatingWholemeal bread is an indictator that you have a decent diet - and a bit more money. Buying cheap white bread may (may....) be an indication that you're on a low income, and not eating so healthily?
@MsSMHI@Tesco I have early stage prostate cancer, & told to avoid folates, but it's hard. Thanks to online shopping we can check ingredients, as most biscuits, cakes and bread now contain it.
My advice - check ingredients in everything!
Sadly, eating out isn't so simple.

@DrChrisParry If we must have animals, they should be animals important to our history. Sheep, for the wool trade. A pig, as poor people's meat through the centuries, and a bulldog to represent Englishness.
Can't see Labour being allowed to put a pig or a dog anywhere on display though!
@DrChrisParry That's just thos on small boats. Add in all those arriving illegally by other means, those arriving legally who later claim asylum - 'health care' workers, etc, plus relatives.....
Must be many, many more in total.
