Functional requirements:
The invoice document itself should be directly editable (click into fields), not a separate form — what I see is what prints.

A "Save as PDF" button that calls window.print(), with print-specific CSS that hides all buttons/controls and fits an A4 page cleanly, with background colors preserved (print-color-adjust: exact).

Auto-save all entered data to localStorage on every change, so reopening the page restores the last invoice.

"New" button to start a fresh invoice (new auto-generated invoice number, clears localStorage after confirmation). "Clear" button to wipe the current invoice fields (with confirmation).

PWA / installability requirements — build these correctly the first time:
Deliver as a flat set of files meant to sit at the root of a static host (Vercel/Netlify): index.html, manifest.json, sw.js, and an /icons/ folder with icon-192.png and icon-512.png generated from my logo (cropped to just the mark/symbol, padded to a square on a white background, not the full wordmark).

manifest.json: start_url: "./index.html", scope: "./", display: "standalone", correct theme_color and background_color, icons array with both sizes and "purpose": "any maskable".
index.html head must include: manifest link, theme-color meta, apple-mobile-web-app-capable + apple-touch-icon (for iOS), and register the service worker only when location.protocol !== "file:".

sw.js must use a network-first, fail-safe strategy — NOT cache-first with no fallback. Specifically:
Only intercept same-origin GET requests; let everything else (fonts, external assets) pass through untouched.

Try the network first, and cache a clone of every successful response.

Only fall back to cache if the network fetch fails, and if that also misses, fall back to the cached index.html for navigation requests (never let a fetch handler resolve to undefined — that causes ERR_FAILED in Chrome and can get the app stuck showing "This site can't be reached" even after the bug is fixed, until the old cache is cleared).

Bump the cache name (e.g. v2, v3) any time the service worker logic changes, and delete old caches on activate, so updates actually take effect for people who already installed it.

Trigger the install prompt myself, don't rely on Chrome's automatic timing:
Capture beforeinstallprompt, call e.preventDefault(), store the event, and immediately show a visible "Install App" button plus a dismissible banner.
Clicking the button calls deferredPrompt.prompt().

Hide the button/banner once appinstalled fires or if display-mode: standalone is already detected (already installed).

Detect iOS (beforeinstallprompt never fires there) and show manual instructions instead ("tap the Share icon → Add to Home Screen") rather than a broken install button.
