Kate Girard, former OMS state medalist and recipient of our coaches’ award (2021), will be running in college!!! We are so proud!

@tnmilesplit This is heartbreaking for our southeast TN track community.

Lily, Kensley, Marit, and Zoey. Got 4th at the sectional with a 4:32. Seeded 14th at state. Shaved off 11 seconds at to finish with a 4:21.81. They finish the season with the school record and as the 8th best 4x400 relay in the state.

And 3 of them will be back next year.

Zoey Dunsford. Won every 400 race she ran all season. Unfortunately, she didn’t qualify for heat 2 at state. She won heat 1 and her time got her on the podium. She finished the season as the 7th best 400 runner in the state.

And she’s in 7th grade.

Lincoln Jackson. Played baseball and ran track this season. Excelled in both. Qualified for state in high jump without coming to one track practice. He finishes the season as the 11th best high jumper in the state.
