FaZe Clan was my introduction to gaming culture at large

I have been a dedicated and diehard fan over the course of almost the same 15 year tenure as Apex's run

One of my first ever messages sent to someone over Xbox Live when I was 12 almost 13 was messaging the entire FaZe Clan roster (Apex included) as to how I could potentially 1v1 someone in the team for a chance to join or to simply just spectate them trickshotting in a game so I could learn from the best

FaZe Clan shaped a lot of my developmental years and because of it; I've met people that I've done business with, lived with, and become lifelong friends with. I met my girlfriend of almost 5 years now because of trying to join FaZe and the journey it took me on

To say that FaZe changed the game is an understatement, they changed the way the Internet worked and operates to this day

Early YouTube and MLG QuickScope era helped solidify these guys for life in the eyes of millions of people and cultivated a community of some of the most talented people on the planet, albeit no one knew that at the time

What an incredible ride, what an incredible time, what an incredible life

Black Ops 7 was the first CoD game I didn’t have an ounce of excitement for.

The franchise has become so soulless because of greedy executives.

The only word I can feel as a once avid player is that I felt disrespected? Felt like Activision executives thought they could get away with anything.

The ridiculous fail of anti-cheat over 5 years and lying saying it’s improving. BlackCell Battle Pass upgrades for ridiculous prices. Selling bundles on individual guns to squeeze out as much money as possible. The failure in how they handled the entire Warzone franchise and filling it with bloat.

I could go on forever. It’s just a shame. Thousands of talented developers forced to rush and release things they don’t agree with because of executive greed.

It’s cliché but I really do miss what Call of Duty once was.
