I'd completely refresh Chad Gable coming out of that match. No more comedy. No more shenanigans.
If the crowd wants to cheer him, let them. If they boo him, that's fine too. I'd lean heel because WWE desperately needs more top level heels.
Present him like a wrestling machine. Think Kurt Angle or GUNTHER. A guy who talks with intensity, wins big matches, and is treated as a serious threat every time he steps in the ring.
Gable has already proven he can main event shows. He can talk, wrestle, and bring that same legitimacy and intensity that made guys like Angle, Benoit, and Guerrero so compelling.
It's time to treat him like a star.

And with that, Cody Rhodes’ reign is over. John Cena makes history with no. 17 solidifying himself as the GOAT. Match was solid but kind of letdown by the pacing of the ending a little bit. Overall good storytelling and sets up an interesting ending for Cena’s final year.
