Africa is big business - for everybody except Africans. If the oyibos could have their way, Africans would be like Native Americans - forgotten people herded into small reservations to drink themselves to extinction while the people who actually understand the value of the land take it over.
That is why in Africa, whether you are a politician, journalist, researcher, policeman, soldier, academic or entertainer, there is always an oyibo with a suitcase of dollars, pounds and euros who is willing to fill your outstretched hand with just enough of them to get you to do what he wants. Mind you, never enough to actually set you up for life - just enough to keep you hungry and interested until next time.
Those dollars are not free money and the oyibo giving them to you is not a philanthropist. Every $1 he gives you will return $1,000 to him from the wealth that was bequeathed to you by your ancestors. That's why you get a $10bn rail "investment" in Angola that carefully avoids any population or industrial centres and instead chooses a 1,300KM path through a dense tropical rainforest, going from the impoverished mining area in DR Congo directly to the Lobito port, from where the ships will load the ores and take them straight to the US.
That's why even the contracts to build, operate, maintain and secure this piece of American economic vandalism disguised as "infrastructure investment" do not include a single African entity. 1,300KM of railway through southern Angola, and the companies that ringfenced everything are @motaengil (Portugal), @trafigura (Switzerland) and Vecturis (Belgium). Everybody including the workers who will weld the rails and the chefs who will cook for them will be Europeans.
You can be sure however, that whichever Angolan government official approved this giant heist would have received a few hundred thousand dollars from the oyibo suitcase, because that's what Africans do - consistently lose the bigger wealth opportunity tomorrow for the sake of oyibo's dollars today.
“While China’s success on the African continent shows that it is possible for both parties to win in a trading relationship, the Lobito Corridor exemplifies all that is parochial and hopelessly out of touch about US Africa policy.”

Since I did the story on my pinned tweet in 2022, exactly 0 (zero) of my mainstream "international colleagues" in the US and Europe looked at their governments and decided to ask, "Why are you providing support for an indicted drug trafficker and legendary kleptomaniac to become president of this poor African country that we send aid to?"
That story was none of their business. Their actions and inactions made it clear to me that a.) I am on my own as a journalist who has decided to report the truth in Africa, and b.) Where the interests of American and European governments contradict those of Africa, no matter how monstrous and morally decrepit the American and European position is, my mainstream "international colleagues" will always fall in line with the program. They will report (or refuse to report) whatever their governments tell them to.
White solidarity is not a myth at all.
So now that I'm hearing that some of these same "international colleagues" are upset about some of my tweets because I consistently adopt a pro-African position that sometimes hurts their precious feelings and sensibilities, I want to urge them to cast their minds back to July 2022 and retain the same energy.
The same way they have spent 10 years watching their governments impose puppets, policies and sanctions that have systematically destroyed what used to be Africa's largest economy and the 3rd fastest growing economy on earth behind only Qatar and China, and they said absolutely nothing because as the good colonial scribes they are, they must never criticise the Empire, they should also ignore my tweets and possibly mute or block me.
The same way they have spent 2 years watching the government of a drug dealer installed as president in Nigeria by their Department of State harassing and hounding me all over the world, and they couldn't give the slightest bit of voice to my plight - I was declared wanted by Nigerian police because of my work and none of their CPJs, ICFJs and RSFs could even issue a simple statement in response - they should maintain that exact same energy with my tweets and opinions.
I don't exist. Ignore me. Unfollow, mute and block. I see you following me for the past 3 years and occasionally sending a friendly DM, but when push comes to shove, your loyalty is always to the Empire. When your governments commit or enable unspeakable attrocities in some country in Darkest Africa whose name you can't pronounce, you turn into a mannequin. Please don't bother anymore. We are not friends, our interests are not aligned, and I don't like you.
If my opinions offend you, then I'm glad they do.
Upon my return from my trip to Kigali, I honoured a longstanding invitation and birthday promise to @KayodeAkintemi by sitting down with him for an in-depth conversation about our dear country. I urge my fellow OBIdients and Nigerians to watch and offer corrections where necessary. Leadership is about listening and learning.

Naija and their hypocrisy shaa.
Same people wey been busy dey sew thread as to why Tinubu don’t need to debate during last elections, na them carry this #Trump and #kamala elections debate for head.
Nigerians don’t have a sense of society. No sense of community
It’s always me, me, me.
The average Nigerians across all level is individualistic.
As long as me and my family is ok, then they don’t care what happens outside.
LP agent for Ward E Ikeja, in 2023 Presidential election, at the hospital, fighting for her dear life. She was RUTHLESSLY BRUTALIZED by the APC & “Yoruba ronu” bastards. Her offense? Supporting Peter Obi in the election. The next time any mgbeke obi mmiri tells you to forget about what happened in the last election, and help anyone you can, irrespective of who they supported, show him or her this video. It’s high time we started making Nigerians face the consequences of their actions.
This is Onyeka, an LP PU agent, who lost his life at the Trade Fair area of Lagos, on Election Day. He was shot dead by APC & “Yoruba ronu” bastards. His offense? Wanting a better NGR that works for all. Now, how do you tell me to forget abt things like this, & help his killers?
If by now, you still don’t believe that RCCG is a useless political wing of this useless APC, then I really don’t know what to tell you.
One day, I hope Nigerians will find for themselves what they are looking for in churches.
PS:
Your blessings are in the policies of your country, state, local govt etc. and not in the church or your pastor.
Your general safety is in the efficiency of your nation’s protection services and not in the church.
Your progress is in the availability of employment and access to finance to build businesses and not in the church and one more… your potential for growing wealth is in YOUR ability to understand how money works and investing that money in order for that money to work for you and not in sowing seeds or tithes!
Unfortunately, many of you will be lifetime casts in the smash hit, “LIVING IN BONDAGE.”
