It should be about the contribution you make to society, your family and your friendships. It should be more about the kindness and generosity of spirit, rather than your salary. Maybe then men can stop comparing themselves with unrealistic, unachievable metrics
I attended the funeral of a friend this week. An incredibly kind, gentle, and fundamentally decent man. There was a huge turn out for his funeral of folks of all ages, who spoke of the positive impact he had had on them. Universally loved and respected.
When I think about how everyone viewed our friend and the qualities he possessed, it has really made me pause to think about what we as a society value and how we have lost sight of what really matters. Success isn't the car you drive, the clothes you wear or your job title.
@izzyslovenian A player who squeezes every last ounce out of his talent. Attitude is superb, but looks like he is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulder sometimes. I just hope he doesn't see our promotion miss as a reason that he didn't make the US team and start overthinking.
@SIALLENFORSUR3 Yet his actions alone are the ones that led to you missing out on promotion (and I say that as a Boro fan), have cost you a shot at ยฃ200m, plus points deduction for next year, plus unsettled the squad and placed SFC at huge risk. Make it make sense. It's like Stockholm Syndrome.
@TheStatsSaint The difference being Gordon plays for a major PL club, has played in European competition, is a full international and a member of England's WC squad whereas Scienza is a member of a mid tier Championship team who failed to reach the play off final (nice lad though).
@BeamerCaro49738@AlredThe A view backed by both the initial independent panel and the EFL League Arbitration Panel and ultimately admitted by your club and soon to be taken further by the FA. Only one party is guilty in this matter and it is Southampton. You played silly games and won silly prizes.
@ShonaSaintsB@SouthamptonFC Are you lot still wanging on? Your hierarchy decided to undertake a systematic policy of cheating. We didn't ask to be spied on nor did we ask to be dragged into your squalid mess. Saints need to own it, clean your house up and stop projecting your guilt onto innocent parties.
@Laceysaints@SouthamptonFC That should sort out the embedded culture of dishonesty that pervades your club. You should absolutely make some hollow gestures first and foremost.
@BogsAlfx Taken 20 mins before kick off
There is a huge block of seats on the far side of the half way line (The Hull side) that either wasn't put up for sale or wasn't sold, but that is very clearly not in our allocation. Now run along, your mum has your Coco Pops ready
