The real logic brick wall is wondering what possible purpose those barriers could serve in the first place aside from their plot function

I’m fine with introducing Jedi’s ability to speed run and never mentioning it again. But you can’t introduce speed running at the beginning of the same movie where in the climax a huge aspect is that the Jedi can’t run fast enough to help his partner fight the villain
