You don't need more Information you need more Application.

Every course you buy.
Every youtube tutorial video you watch.
Every tweet you have bookmarked.
Every new strategy you learn.
All of it is feeding you with the Illusion of False progress and keeping you stuck.

Ever since I got into crypto and trading in general I have always felt behind.

I always felt the reason was because I lacked the right information and rightly so but this became an addiction.

I am here to share my story because I see a lot of CT doing the same thing.

Start being honest with yourself…

It's true.
You don't have an information problem.
You have an execution problem.
And the worst part is that gathering more information makes you FEEL productive whilst keeping you exactly where you are.

STAY WITH ME….

You keep thinking learning more will finally make it all click.

One more course that you won't finish.
One more article which you won't read.
One more book which you won't apply any of the valuable information.

Think of it this way:

→We are in the most informed age yet people are still as confused as ever
→We have the best weightloss information out there but yet society is the unhealthiest its ever been
→You have so much trading information out there yet a lot of people do not know what to do and are still broke

We are trapped in an infinite loop of endless information.
One more course.
One more video.
One more trading technique.
One more resource.
One more piece of trading information.
It never ends.
And this ironically bleeds down to other aspects of our lives.

And I realized this:
More information has never been the solution.
More APPLICATION IS.

Actually doing the work that needs to be done.

You need to reflect on the most effective work you have to be doing and start actually doing it.

I realized more information is just a distraction.

The illusion of learning is false progress and take it from someone who has been stuck in this loop for so long.

Looking for more material to learn isn't helping you.
It's only helping you to avoid the real work that needs to be done.

Just like FOMO leads to impulsive entries, FOMO learning leads to over consumption without implementation and integration.
And it's not driven by strategy but insecurity.

This boils down to who you are as a person.

If you do not apply what you have read, watched or consumed in any other way, it is in fact a complete waste of your valuable time.

Every elite person has done thousands of reps of the actual work.

Not read about them.

Not watched videos.

But getting their hands dirty day in day out and doing what needs to be done.

Now you may be asking yourself all well and good I resonate with this so how can I get out of this rot?

Here are 4 steps you need to follow to go from a CONSUMER TO AN APPLICANT:

1. Choose a few trusted sources

2. Cut the noise ruthlessly

3. Do the reps by application

4. Teach what you have learned to others

Regardless of your field this applies to everyone.
Trader, researcher, writer, content creator, business owner..

1. Choose a few trusted sources

Choose 2-3 people in the field you are trying to break into.

Be it trading, business, writing and so on.

People that have a proven track record and people you align with your personality.

Much like diet, many work but most people cannot follow them consistently to see real results.

You need to be extremely consistent in order to achieve this and this is why you need to build systems that do not rely on willpower.

2. Cut the Noise Ruthlessly

Once you have chosen who to learn from cut the noise ruthlessly.

I cannot emphasize more on this.

But if you don't, 1 year from now you will be at the exact same place you were at the time of reading.

Trust me after 4 years of being stuck this is probably what will help you the most.

3. Do the reps (Application)

If it's trading backtest forward test, annotate charts, do so much work that failure seems unreasonable.

Go deep into what you are learning and Iterate - Iterate - iterate instead of looking for new information

Same applies to any skill you are trying to learn.

4. Share your learning to others

Lastly share your learning to others like I just did even if you aren't ready.

Trust me I truly am not. I am personally learning how to write and this is the only way to get my reps in instead of consuming more.

But if you keep hiding behind needing more information rather than doing the actual work, you will fail.
