Just last week, President Trump voted by mail, along with his wife and son, in the Florida special election. If voting by mail works for the president, it works for ‘we the people.’
On Tuesday, March 31, President Trump signed an Executive Order to try and block you from voting by mail. In Arizona, 80% of voters choose to vote by mail. This move would impact the majority of voters in our state and is a blatant attempt to alter the outcomes of elections.
In America, voters pick our leaders. In Arizona, the law has permitted voting by mail for more than 20 years and it is widely well-established and popular. In the U.S., voting by mail is actually older than many of its states, in fact, it’s been around since the 1800s.

Recorder Heap’s failure to acknowledge or condemn his chief of staff’s politically charged social media posts, including alleging an upcoming civil war, is a threat to free and fair elections in Arizona. He must resign his office immediately. https://t.co/KI0akxWuaz
It's more clear than ever that the plan has always been to use mmigration enforcement as leverage to silence Americans. When fear becomes governing tool, no one is safe anymore.
Voting should be easy, accessible, and protected from intimidation.
In the U.S., states run elections NOT the federal government. We're seeing:
- Federal agencies pressuring states for voter data
- Threats tied to immigration enforcement & force
- Calls to “nationalize” elections
This isn’t normal. And it’s deeply concerning.
Just this week:
“The Republicans should say, we want to take over. We should take over the voting, the voting in at least many, 15 places. The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting.” - Pres. Trump
“We’re going to have ICE surround the polls come November,” – Steve Bannon

“From Japanese American incarceration to Muslim registry programs to today’s detention of Spanish-speaking people, the government has repeatedly used fear to police who belongs.”
Targeting communities through fear is a tactic that undermines freedom.

“ICE’s defenders insist it keeps us safe. But safety built on intimidation and the threat of disappearance isn’t safety at all — it’s control.”
Democracy thrives when communities feel secure, not threatened.

“When the government seizes anyone without due process, it harms more than one person — it erodes the protections meant to safeguard us all.”
Due process isn’t just a legal principle—it protects everyone. When it’s ignored, democracy itself is weakened.

“This September, the Supreme Court effectively sanctioned ICE’s racial profiling, ruling that agents can justify stops based on race, speaking Spanish, or occupation.”
Policies like this harm individuals and democracy itself.

“ICE agents conduct mass raids detaining citizens and non-citizens to meet a 3,000-per-day arrest quota, preventing people from any civic participation.”
