OneCity fights for affordable housing, climate action, public safety and family services. Follow Councillor @Lucyincanada and VSB trustee @reddyforchange
A win! Council unanimously supports cooling rights for renters in Vancouver by ensuring landlords can’t ban cooling devices.
Thank you to @Lucyincanada & @seanorr
for your leadership on this and for recognizing @FirstUnitedDTES for our work. This will save lives.
Just like when they decided a letter of reprimand for discriminating against me (as a new mother) was too much.
If they aren't willing to make even symbolic gestures to acknowledge wrong-doing, they are clearly endorsing this behaviour.
This mailout has gone out across the city. Typically, it only contains information about how to pay your property taxes.
This is a political message. And the City of Vancouver isn't one of Ken Sim's big money backers. This is a totally unacceptable use of public resources.
Thanks @Lucyincanada and @OneCityVan for being the only ones to stand up for the multiplex program that's already having such a positive effect across the city. Sad to see the majority call environmental regulations "red tape" but limits on much needed housing "responsible"
I am proud to accept the endorsement of the @vancouverdlc.
Every single Vancouverite deserves an affordable home, strong public services, a good job, and a living wage.
We’ll return respect for workers to City Hall when we retake the Mayor’s Office on October 17th #vanpoli
Unfortunately, ABC eliminated provisions of my motion that would have prioritized accessibility and earthquake readiness. I look forward to championing those priorities again when the Capital Budget comes to Council.
Today, I was proud to bring forward a motion to fast track the elimination of our City's Infrastructure Deficit by increasing the Infrastructure Levy to 2%.
Austerity and Zero Means Zero aren't how we get to a livable, affordable city for all. Investment is.
A newly constructed temporary plaza built next to an East Vancouver restaurant is raising questions as to whether it was accelerated due to the business’ connection to the mayor’s office.

Together with mayoral candidate @wazaroff, these are your candidates who will fight to deliver affordable homes, safer streets, strong public services, and a Vancouver where everyone belongs. Let’s get to work!
For Park Board:
✅ Dominic Denofrio, Kits co-op kid, Marpole resident, public servant
✅ John Irwin, former Commissioner who helped deliver free transit for kids 12 and under
✅ Tyler Petersen, biologist and labour activist who leads by listening
Big news. OneCity, COPE, and the Greens have signed a Progressive Unity Agreement. We did the hard work, and we got it done. Here's what it means and why it matters.
We've got 6 months to meet 500,000 Vancouverites where they are on the issues that matter to them. We're going to earn their trust, win their votes, and send Ken Sim and his big money backers back to the Arbutus Club.
