ONE Conference 2023 is almost over, all that is left is the closing keynote of Bettina Haas on catalysing digitalisation through cybersecurity and collective resilience. These are the final take-aways from this afternoon's break-out sessions:
#ONE2023
Juhan Lepassaar: You can’t expect endusers to have enough knowledge and means to protect themselves. We need some kind of European certification framework for service providers so eveybody knows to what level you can trust a provider (At the forefront of conflict and geopolitics)
Koen Gijsbers: Focus on the can do’s instead of the impossibilities in collaboration. Technical information is not classified most of the time and can be shared between organizations in the supply chain. (At the forefront of conflict and geopolitics…)
Quantum Secure Cryptografy Dutch Central Government (QsC) Urgent adopters should start now! Cryptography is used everywhere. We must work together. (Your cryptography will be broken, prepare yourself now! / Anita Wehmann, Oscar Koeroo)
Is a company’s wall full of IT certifications our industry’s equivalent of a General’s chest full of shiny medals from a questionable regime? (We need better regulatory tools for cyber resilience / Angeline van Dijk, Ludo Baauw, Michiel Steltman, Jacco Jacobs)
Security is chef sache and should be approached risk based so you know the measures you take actually make you more resilient (We need better regulatory tools for cyber resilience / Angeline van Dijk, Ludo Baauw, Michiel Steltman, Jacco Jacobs)
Trend is 'poison the well'. Infect a widely used company (like a telco) to have a way to infect various high profile persons/organizations that use this company. (Nomadic Octopus’ New Campaign : Paperbug / Yigit Colakoglu)
“The future of projectmanagement entails ethics, vision and thought leadership. This includes fundamental research on new models.”
“We need to focus on impact oriented academia-industry collaboration.” (Academia & Industry, a bridge too far? /Eveline Vreede, Zekeriya Erkin)
